Use this and no longer need to fool with crush washers.

Unfortunately I mounted my temp sensor through my drain plug and don't wish to drill and tap another one.

My 1.6 has a tapered oil drain plug that doesn't use a washer (confused the heck out of me the first time I changed the oil). Not sure if the others could switch to something like that?

I use the Fumoto quick change valve. No leaks, and no tools required. I have them on all my vehicles.

I'll pass. The one in the 45k miles takeout MZR I got was ripped to shreds and only sealed with rtv. It looked like the rtv had been applied a couple times. And that motor has like a 6 or 8k oil change interval so...
