heh...I really need to start running again...I kinda miss the old 5k cross country...even if it was only 2 years ago.

That was 22 years and 40 pounds ago for me! Our school won the state championship 3 years in a row when I was there (Track AND Cross Country) and no one even noticed. The football team had a winning record one year (6-5 or something like that) and the Earth stood still.

Don't you hate that shit...Ironically, a lot of the soccer players and baseball players would give us shit when we'd lift or workout b/c of the rain...but the football players would actually be like "I'd like to see you guys do what they do"

I;ve got the crooked nose and badshoulder to prove it.

Now that I'm single again I might look at getting back into rugby. Although the size of the players from college Divison III to mens Division I is huge. I am barely big enough to play a wing now (5'9" 152lbs).

I was crazy though because In college I played hook/flank :eek:

I just ran a 4x8 for the Counties against one of the best relay teams in the state and My team and I wrecked their faces... i opened up a 55m lead which we kept! OWNED

I ran a 2:01 (how the hell do I remember this stuff?) but I was a slug since 10K was more my thing. When I handed off to our fastest guy (3rd leg) I was so scared that I would drop the baton that I didn't want to let go of it. He had to practially rip it out of my hand. We put our slowest guy as anchor to "fool" the other teams. I still remember the 3 of us who had already ran screaming bloody murder as the fastest 800 meter runner in the state steadily gained on our last guy. Just barely kept the lead when he broke the tape. It was a good day.

Jay Dawkins - moved to NC. Last time I saw him was in '87
Tom Caplinger - no idea, was a year younger than me. Never really saw him after that.
