Driving to work the other day I saw this sitting along side of the road. I called about it. When the guy answered, I said, "I'm not sure what it is, I'm not sure what I would do with it, but all I know is, I want it." The guy told me it's a 1970's SnowCat with a custom body that was made in hollywood for the movie "The Last Airbender". I asked what kind of motor is in it, the guy said "it's a Chrysler V8". He couldn't tell me what V-8, he just said it was a Chrysler. I asked him, "what are you looking to get for such an item?"
THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS WAS HIS ANSWER. WTF?? Seriously? Was the movie "The Last Airbender" that great? Is a customized 1970's SnowCat worth that much? It's in Pennsylvania, not Siberia...I can't drive that thing anywhere. How can someone even ask such a price for something that they can't even tell you the cubic inches of the motor?? It does look pretty bad assed though. I was thinking more of the $3,000 price range. Attachment 22335 Attachment 22336 |
I'd go get groceries in it. All that steampunk stuff is cool.

That thing would be cool but not for $30,000. I would drive that while wearing my red eye bunny bondage hood.

I bet I could piss off a lot of people in Atlanta traffic with that....
Looks fun as shit if you lived in a cold climate. |
Restored armor (tanks, personel carriers, etc.) go for big bucks. Much more than that thing. That's cheap for a wanna be tank guy.
I looked at a restored Hetzer (German WWII tank destroyer) in PA a few years back. the guy was asking $120K for it, and it sold. Not sure if he got his asking price, but I'd be willing to bet it was close to that. |
As a fan of The Last Airbender cartoon series, the movie was meh. That tank would be something the fire-benders would have used, but I dont recognize that as anything from the movie. The only way thats work 30K is it was used in something twilight-esk and they fans are fucken retarded.
