Glad to hear he is OK. That could have ended much worse for him. As always, cars are replaceable.

Worse maybe. It hits you harder when it's a close friend.

Damn, glad he's alright man!

Should have bought a Civic. If I learned anything from The Fast and Furious it was that Civics can drive right under tractor trailers without incident.
I'm glad he's alright. I think about that kinda stuff all the time when I'm driving. I'm sure he's hugging his family tonight. |
damn. wow. :(
I was out driving in this shit today and it was pretty bad at times. |

Dibs on the engine. Also the tranny (if it's a 6 spd) and the diff (if the carrier is intact.)
|

Vultures.
Here's some more pictures of the damage (our cars hold up pretty well vs. a tractor trailer, even when they don't hold up, like the one that y8s posted, people usually walk out of them ok somehow): Attachment 201751 Attachment 201752 Attachment 201753 Attachment 201754 Attachment 201755 Attachment 201756 Attachment 201757 Attachment 201758 Attachment 201759 |

poor Elizabeth. he's already ready for another '03! that trunk slash looks scary shit!
|
Highway and rain not for me. That's why my sig says what it say. Very lucky.
|
Damn that was a nice nb too, the interior was really to my tastes. Tell the guy he had created a awesome car, but sorry for the bad luck.
|
Wow, glad everyone's okay.
Hope it's relatively clear for me when my SE tour (Jax and Augusta) starts tomorrow. |
expecting 10-18 inches of snow in the next day. the miata will remain parked!

Time out: So fast and furious lied about driving under trucks?????
jk. On a more serious note: I took out the miata today for 2 seconds to avoid flat-spotting the tires cause its been sitting. It was scary to say the least. Boost = loss of traction. Good thing he is ok. My friend was in a near fatal accident with a semi on a highway in saudi at 90 mph in a volvo last year. Any other car and I think he would have been dead. I'm glad he buffed out.
An old guitarist of mine had the same thing happen to him in some 4 door car. They were dragged under the trailer for over a mile before the truck driver realized what was going on and stopped. |
yet again
volvo ftmfw miss mine :( |
That'll buff out.
Good to hear the only damage was metal on metal. |
