Default ******* ebay merchants!!!

Yes, this is another thread about how shitty the ebay merchants are. So I ordered a turbo oil feed line a few weeks ago:
eBay Motors: 36" T25 TURBO OIL FEED LINE KIT SR20 CA18 KA24 S13 S14 (item 140291855078 end time Jan-04-09 19:07:47 PST)

comes with the adapter and 36", I figured it should be good for my needs.
Well, today I receive it and its 24" and doesnt have the 4 way adapter thingy.
I emailed them just now letting them know they really fucked up and to take care of it asap.

Is it that frigging hard to make sure you put in everything advertised and the correct size before mailing it to the customer? GEEZ

That sucks. FWIW, I hope you aren't planning to screw that brass piece into the block... Brass will uh, break. And fwiw, I don't think a 36" line will reach on a 99' either... Unless you go over the valve cover. You should return it and get what I got. My feed line was like 15 shipped, and the oil feed thing was a tunertoys piece made of steel for like 22 shipped. So less than 40 shipped, and it's all high quality, and WORKS.

This is why you find a local hydraulic store in your area.

Here are a couple...
CAPITAL RUBBER COMPANY, LTD.
Valley Rubber and Gasket Co., Inc.
Just google "sacramento hydraulic" and there are about 50 places. Next time you've got a couple hours to kill, go see a few.

Mine's made of steel. And well made I might add. I was impressed.

FWIW, all my local hydraulic shops didn't have **** that I could make work on my 99'. Sure, if I was needing hoses for our 73' Ford 4500 they could hook me up. But when I tried to buy some fittings to plumb up the miata's oil system, everything they had was made of steel and rated at 4500 PSI. And being so, it was thick, long, and nothing did anything in a short radius. So I couldn't make a drain with their parts. Or a feed. So I had to buy those parts online.

I will also add that the merchant you bought from had 3K+ feedbacks. It has been my experience that buying from sellers with huge feedbacks generally suck.

For example I usually ask the seller a question before bidding on a part. If they send me a generic "welcome valud customer..... ,we are appreciate yor bussiness!!!" I refrain from having any transactions with them. If I get a real response from the seller in a timely manner that seems sincere, then I usually follow through if it's what I want. To me, it's usually not hard to spot a good professional ebayer or a dip ****. Granted there are more of the later..

for some stupid reason I thought the more feedback they have the better....like if they have 3k+ feedback with little (i always check) negative, I'm usually comfortable with it.

I see what you mean though, it might take days for an actual live person to open up my email and decide to do something about it.

I guess I'll just pester them with like 4 emails a day til they respond.

I'll admit my response was a bit vague. I should clarify:

If the guy with 11K+ feedback's price is 2 dollar cheaper on a 50 dollar part, then I'd probably go with the lesser feedback guy (say 500) if they respond well to my questions. Plus I'd rather help the little guy out so to speak. Especially if the cheaper guy has cheaper shipping prices. Overcharging for shipping is something I HATE!

Also, sometimes if you dig through a 10k+ ebayer's feedbacks, you can sometimes spot trends. IE-they may have 30 'negs in 30 days with 3K sales that month, and 22 of them are for one particular product... That they no longer offer. Also, when you see someone that left a neg and left a nasty message, message them and ask them what happened. They're usually happy to explain/warn you.

On the same basis, if you're looking at buying say, a MBC from some ebayer that's sold 11ty billion of them, message a few people that mention it works great in their positive feedback from say a year ago. Nice if you hear back that it's been working well for them a year later.

Anyways, I'm no ebay expert. Just try to use common sense to evaluate the seller before I make a purchase.

I have the tuner toys piece too, definitely a nice piece. I just thought it was brass for some reason. Maybe cause it had a goldish tint to it.

I stayaway from Ebay,I would rather pay more to get the part locally and knowing if something went wrong with it,I could exchange it without problems or hassles of shipping it back and all that bullshit.
