Remeber, You're not doing a proper job unless you cut yourself at least twice and bang your arms at least once.

UofACATS 09-04-2006 02:32 PM

Well, I'm excited :friday:

Make sure to mix in some knuckle blood..

Newbsauce 09-04-2006 06:38 PM

Wow... like 6 hours and lots of swearing later its done. Thanks in a huge part to braineack and the guy whos garage had the most outrageous airtool setup ever. Some drawbacks:

We realized my plugs and possibly my wires are shot to hell so my car isnt running very well.
Furthermore, on the ride home, my turbo was screaming like a banshee, which I am thinking is the BOV opening up prematurely (needs some tightening)

rappadan 09-04-2006 09:44 PM

sweetness brad!!! i hope it works out alright. i wanted to be a part of this so my install would go smoothly

Braineack 09-04-2006 10:04 PM

Install went fairly smooth. A few issues here and there that I we weren't able to work out. It's also a lot easier when the AFPR and MSD box are already hooked up. And not having to install the AFM.

I was able to install Stripe's intercooler kit today first hand and I couldn't have been more impressed with the quality, fit, and mounting bracket. Very easy and straight forward install.

Installs are a lot easier when you have an ASE certified guy's garage with every tool known to man at your disposal and an air line at every ten feet.

Brad sorry I couldn't stick around for the test drive. As long as it's not sounding like this: http://www.magnaflowonline.com/catal...load/spool.wmv

Hurry up and get some pics up homey!

UofACATS 09-04-2006 10:08 PM

Delhole94 09-10-2006 10:29 PM

Where'd you get those seats?

Newbsauce 09-11-2006 09:38 AM

The seats were actually some ebay crap I picked up cause my stockers were just shot (I guess 13 years will do that to them). Either way, they were not very expensive and turned out to be a VERY good seat in terms of comfort and support. Braineack saw them in person and even commented on how nice they looked. Be very aware, however, that mounting them is FAR from easy, since they come with "universal" brackets. I ended up fabricating the OEM brackets and some welding :)

Braineack 09-11-2006 10:32 AM

They'd look better in my car though. Leather and racing don't mix. Neither does Oil and leaking, but that's another story.

miatamania 09-11-2006 10:51 AM

lol...good looking car man, what IC piping is that or did you have someone custom make it? it looks clean.

Braineack 09-11-2006 10:54 AM

Stripe's Pipes for the Greddy Turbo

http://mx5projects.com/Greddy%20Intercooler.asp

There would be minimal effort to make it work on any turbo however.

Newbsauce 09-11-2006 02:40 PM

Yeah the pipes could easily be fitted to any application, except braineacks, because his application involves flooding his intercooler w/ oil. :)
