Got the finger from an Audi driver

Once again while driving the BMW I got the one finger salute from an Audi driver.

What has the world come to?

Is there no more honor among pricks?

m2cupcar 06-24-2012 12:11 PM

What has the world come to when kraut is more important than clout?

sleeperavant 06-25-2012 03:11 PM

What did you do to piss off the Audi driver?

hustler 06-25-2012 03:23 PM

I'm sure I wouldn't have, but it would have been tempting to pull my pistol on that guy. Not even point it at him, just visibly chamber a round.

EDIT: Actually I'm positive I would not have. I can't even get my cell phone out when I'm in the miata. lol

The guy in the BMW totally deserved to bleed-out in the street, but I'm not going to prison over it.

On a related note, I own a "throw away" now.

You carry without a round in the chamber?

LOL @ "I woulda popped a cap in his BMW drivin ass"...
Me on the other hand would've got out of my car after he started his bitch fest, and the conversation would've went something like, "You're going to beat who's head in??? Let's ------- go tough guy."

+1

I probably would've been out of the car before him! lol

Tailgating is probably the #1 cause of my road rage. :vash: Sometimes I simply move over and try to let it go (when I can move over). Other times, especially when its on a one lane road, I have to do just about everything in my power NOT to pull over and kick their windshield in.

In this particular video, however, the driver of the MS3 wasn't by any means tailgating. The BMW driver was just upset that he was keeping up with his "douche" driving skillz.

Pulling a gun on someone for something like that is laughable. What does that prove?

I agree with protecting yourself and your family when you have to (esp in your home and on your property), but out in the car by yourself getting confronted by an aggressive driver is no reason to.

This is one of the main reasons I force myself to keep my cool. You never know when your ready to slam a tailgating, trigger happy ---- in the face. In 2 seconds I'm dead and he maybe goes to jail. Not how I'm looking to go out myself.

Reverant 06-26-2012 12:09 PM

What a douche.

This guy I work with "Mike" was being tailgated by a 90's Ford F-150 truck like 2 weeks ago...while driving his brand new toyota tacoma. The ford guy had his high beams on the whole time (this was approx 11:00 PM). "Mike" pulled over like 3 times and signaled for the bag o' douche to pass, but the guy just stayed behind him. Finally "Mike" lost it and he stopped his truck, got out and ran back to the Ford and yelled, "I gave you plenty of opportunites to pass, wtf is your problem??? If you wanna settle this, pull over at the next intersection."
The Ford guy was a scared little -----, even though he had his ears gauged out and tattoos all over...and get this, he calls the state police and reports "mike".
Mike gets home and about 15 minutes later the police arrive and ask him a bunch of questions. They side with him, which I thought was really cool, but they tell him, "if it happens again, just pull into somebody's drive way and the guy should just keep on going". Mike reply's with, "let's say I do that, and the next day the people who's driveway I pulled into get their mailbox smashed and they report my truck leaving the scene the night before...then it's on me." The cops were dumbfounded as usual.
Mike told me he felt bad cause a lot of people saw his rage. I told him that I think higher of him now, cause he's a quiet guy who seems to bottle up everything inside. Now people know he's a loose cannon, and not to be messed with.

JasonC SBB 06-26-2012 12:21 PM

Mike shoulda stuck his hand out motioning douche Ford to pass.

JasonC SBB 06-26-2012 12:31 PM

BTW the BMW video above is a classic example of douche rage wherein said douche suffers an imagined slight. It's the dumbest rage around.

Just the other day at a 4-way stop sign a car across from me, that got there earlier, wanted to make a right, and I wanted to make a left, onto the same street. I made my car crawl (I hate stopping), with some distance before the intersection, and waited for him to begin his right turn (which he did), and then I proceeded slowly through my left turn. All this time I made sure to drive in a manner that made it clear that I expected him to go first. (I do this all the time, and I'm big on "body language", making it clear I'm gonna yield when I want the other guy to go first. This is so the other guy will quit waffling and get going sooner)

As he was turning he hit the brakes a bit like he was afraid I was gonna hit him (I was far away and barely *in* the intersection), he stuck his head out the window and yelled at me, I guess for "trying to go in front of him". At the next stop sign he turned right and stopped, and waited for me to pass him, and stuck his head and arm out and raged some more. What a dumbass.

He did do that. The ford dick just stayed behind him with his high beams on.

Advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. Don't take it personally.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner! And since a psychological trait called projection is most commonly used when evaluating the actions and motives of strangers, we can infer the BMW driver was a true douche. Projection is when a person attributes their own motives or thought patterns to others. We assume most people, who haven't yet proven otherwise, think the way we do. A crook expects everyone to try to cheat them. A trusting person expects others to be trustworthy. An arrogant douche expects everyone is always challenging him and disrespecting him just as he does others.

When choosing friends or more importantly mates, it is important to watch their treatment of strangers. Do they give strangers the benefit of the doubt or do they insist malice is behind every slight? It is important to note because they will assign the same intentions to you once the newness of the relationship wears off and they stop being on their best behavior.

Damn. That would be so annoying to deal with. Ah well.
