Default Got hit a third time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Went outside to see two notes on my windshield and then found a nice deep gouge running the whole length of my passenger door!! Someone left a plate number on one note (61319JU) and then the same person or someone else left a note with a name and phone number. I called the number and some Caribbean sounding woman picked up and new nothing about it. Maybe her husband is a cab driver and saw the hit or did it himself. I'm seriously considering parting the car and getting a beater. The value on this car is dropping every couple weeks at this point. This is the third time in two months and I don't have the money to fix all the body damage it now has. I had a couple little DIY projects planned for the spring but now I'm just totally bummed and I don't want to put more money and time into it only to see it get hit a-*******-gain in the next couple weeks.

Ok, so I'm confused here. You have a licence plate number. Can't you go to the police and report the damage. They check the plate details and hit the offender with some kind of offence?

With the phone number and name... I assume the womand who answered the phone did not know anyone with that name? Have you tried calling at a different time to see if someone else answers?

I called the number again and the husband answered this time and had no idea what I was talking about either. So I don't know what the **** is going on with that. I have a friend who just became a cop in CT who is going to run the plate number for me. Maybe I can find out where they live, find their car, take pics and leave a note for them to call me. I am so sick of this **** it's not even funny. The rest of my life is a shitsstorm as well right now so this is just icing on the cake. I work full time, go to grad school at night and saturdays. I'm doing an internship as well. My foot went numb two weeks ago and I've had to get MRIs on my back and brain because they thought I might have a tumor (I don't, but they still don't know what's up with it). So I'm on the verge of homicidal rage already. Now that the car no longer looks pimptastic maybe I'll just gut it, put r-compounds on the stock wheels and have a real sleeper.

Where did this happen?

Seems like someone saw it happen, and wrote the plate down. I have done this before when people try to run. Call your insurance and give them the plate, tell em it was a hit and run. Tell them you saw it happen and the guy bailed.

It happened in front of my building on west 85th. I called the phone number that was left to find out more info but they don't seem to know anything about it so I don't know if it's a phony number or what. Maybe the guy who hit me left a note with a phony number because other people were watching him and he had to look like he was leaving a note. The plate number was on a separate note and they left no phone number. So the phone number and plate number notes are from two different people. I only have a plate number so far, no description of the vehicle so I can't really call my insurance about this without more info I would guess. Hopefully I'll get the description, along with an address tomorrow from my cop friend and I can hunt this ****** down.

Don't part the car man. Just take your sleeper idea and run with it. A fast car > a nice looking car. My miata was fairly pristine when I bought it and it's been hit twice now, no one left a note. I just do my best to fix the damamge myself and then forget about it.

If they ask you to describe the car say you dont remember, all you remember is the plate because you were running closer to read it.

Play dumb. Seriously.

I bet that the person who hit you left the phony number and someone who witnissed it left the tag number. Atleast I hope thats what happened.
