Default I Really Dislike UPS

<RANT>

So, I ordered a bunch of stuff from FM and their service is awesome. Then they tell me they're shipping it to me via UPS. Not at all a fan of them. Meh, whatever. I figured that everything would follow suit and go smoothly. Nooooooope. On FM's packing slip it clearly states that it's getting sent to me (whereas I am the consignee). Those retarded ******** at UPS see my company name and right away throw it through our broker instead of going through UPS like I had asked them to. Now my head office is sending me hatemail, my parts are delayed (even thought they're about a 15-minute drive away from me) and they're trying to nail me a bill for $100 less than my total FM invoice amount. The box weighs under 58 pounds and is 24" x 12" x 13". If I add up all the fees UPS outlined for me, they should be billing me around $717.00, which is multiple, MULTIPLE thousands cheaper than what I just got an invoice for. Pardon my vulgarity, but I ******* hate UPS and every cocksucking ******* that works in their Admin office(s). Last time I dealt with them they sued me because I bought a $14 bracket that weighed 3 pounds and came in a 6" x 3" x 3" box and they billed me just over $13,000 CAD in fees that I refused to pay. Yeah, they lost and had to front the $2 for UPS fees and the court fees. I ******* hate UPS; they're ******* retarded. I feel like killing and eating babies right now.

Again, pardon my vulgarity, but these guys are seriously giving me blood pressure issues.

I've learned that UPS is bad to Canada, but they're bad in general anyhow.

Luckily they've been decent on stuff I've shipped, besides being ridiculous on rates sometimes (and only when I HAVE to get it there quick).

It pisses me off that I've spent close to $1000 in shipping over the last month or so, and they managed to either lose, delay, or have non-functioning tracking on the 3 packages I was waiting for.

One of them turned into a 3 week fiasco during which I was out $600, only recently refunded, and also without motorcycle gear. This all happened during finals of course.

Cue the chorus:

**** UPS
with an iron pole
**** UPS
in their brown hole
**** UPS
and all their mothers
**** UPS
the stupid *******

For every 10 packages I ship with UPS, I have at least 1 issue. Usually its when they send me a invoice adjustment email for a package that I shipped.

I've called them a dozen times asking what the **** the issue was!! How exactly are you guys allowed to just charge me without my authorization?! I mean, if I enter the EXACT dimensions and weight, how the **** can you just "adjust" my invoice charging me more? I asked why would you charge me more if the computer tells me its going to cost $xx.xx to ship? I've been told that's still just an estimate, there's no way to get the exact price until they have the package in hand.

I told them I charge my customers a certain amount for shipping, and if they end up charging me again days (sometimes a week or more) later, I have to eat that ****! WTF!! I never had any **** like this with USPS. Not once!

I am actually dropping off 5 packages there today, but its for **** that is too big to go USPS, so I have no choice.

I've also caught my UPS driver kicking and dropping packages before. I made it super clear to him that I better not see that **** again. The company has a bad name just about everywhere, but people still use them.

I f*&kin' hate UPS. I purchased some gauges from Summit Racing thinking I found the ultimate deal. Ohhh, how wrong I was when UPS charged me 1/3 of the cost in brokerage fees. I now won't purchase anything that won't ship USPS. If I want something bad and can't get it shipped USPS I say whatever cause I know that being without is better than being bent over and raped by UPS.

One time I had ups leave a package at my doorstep when I lived in an apartment, without me signing for it. I was at sea so it was stolen before I got back. Never was reimbursed for it. After that they woudn't leave **** at my apartment, had to pick it up from their office all the time.
Fed ex is pretty good, when we were doing our wedding we had ordered some flowers that needed to be signed for that we missed the delivery on. I called the dispatcher and arranged to meet up with the driver to receive those bitches. They also never leave **** at/on top of/hanging off of my mailbox like ups and usps.

I once had about 500 in suspension stuff left at a neighboors apartment in my building. They refused delivery of course, they ahd no idea what was going on. It was then sent back to CA. I guess the driver could not read the 4 inch tall number "1" on my door, and went to # 7 instead. Awesome.

Having said that, all my other (maybe 3 dozen?) UPS experiences have been fine, no issues. The fees to CA are absolutely rediculus though.

How is it BS? Brokerage and clearances are the same for every import/export company. How does UPS manage to have so many issues while so many others have so much success? I mean, I'm all for USPS as well, but UPS was the only option for this box at the time. Why does it take USPS a day to get everything sorted out and it takes UPS a week? I hate UPS and I honestly have no idea why USPS can't take certain stuff. They'd have a monopoly if they weren't so specific.

did you place this order over the phone with FM? or just online?

If you want to ship internationally, use an international service. UPS and USPS are both not this. FedEx and DHL are. Or maybe TNT if you're baller.

Primarily over the phone. We just email for confirmation and a paper trail (albeit digital). When I get stuff shipped from the States I usually always use USPS. I used USPS for everything I have on my car that came from the States and I think out of the 10-15 times I've used them I've spent a total of about 600 bucks in brokerage/freight.

Oh, to add to my last post. This had nothing to do with FM. I have the copy of the way bill and it clearly states my name as the consignee. UPS just called me (apparently they dislike hatemail) and she stated the person at UPS who put it in the system or whatever didn't even look at my name and searched the address instead and my company showed up. Now I have to call this phone number with this massive code number and complain to someone who doesn't care, ha ha.

**** UPS.

I have never once had a problem with UPS... Guess I'm lucky. And yes, I have used them to ship things to Canada a few times as well.

ups is lame.

Use DHL if you want it fast, or USPS if you just want it cheap.

I sent a package 2nd day with UPS to a customer one state (about a 6 hour drive) from me. This was a week before Christmas, items the customer needed for the holiday. Ground should have gotten it there in time but I wanted the breathing room. They had 5 working days to get it there and I sent it 2nd day air. No brainer right? Nope. They missed making the delivery on the 2nd day. The 3rd day. The 4th day. I call them to ask what's what. "well sir if you had read our addendum on the website it clearly states that 2nd day packages are not guaranteed the week before Christmas". (after that I looked for said addendum and couldn't find it even when looking for it) When asked why they hadn't delivered it any of the following days "Once the 2nd day is missed we have no guarantee of when it will be delivered". Package got there in 10 days on New Years Eve.

No refund, no apology and now they get none of my business. Closed my account immediately. Fedex or USPS FTW!

I ordered a part from turbo shop in Hayward (60-70 miles from me). They shipped it fed-ex ground. I still haven't seen my part and it has been 4 days. Fed-Ex ground says 3-5 days for a ground package 60 miles from me. I could have had it over night with UPS ground, 2 days with US mail standard. I could have had it from Bell today on regular ground. And of course I needed the part yesterday, so I could have my car today.

Maybe they hate people who hate them. They see into your home and know you are talking bad about them. I've shipped and received probably 200-300 shipments over the years and maybe only had 2 or 3 issues. I think you are all a bunch of whiny vaginas. I wouldn't ship you a package reliably either.

On the other hand, FedEx is always late on their shipments, or anything big I get through them is damaged and looks like they beat it with ball bats.
