m2cupcar 02-13-2007 09:05 AM

I thought I saw that some aftermarket co. is now making them. This co. makes tops for other roadsters too. But the price was more than what used hts were selling for.

KMag 02-13-2007 10:18 AM

+1...and some fuckers are always finding them on miata.net for like 100-200 bucks...*sigh*

FSTASNTZ 02-13-2007 01:30 PM

It takes patience, but you can still find some in the 800 range.
However, anyone who wants to pay 2000 for one, I have a red one I will let go for that price... LOL.

psst hello mr got wheels with tires for like 50 cents.

that7guy 02-13-2007 03:05 PM

I got mine for 900 a few weeks ago. You have to be patient and get them from the people who dont know what they have

akaryrye 02-13-2007 03:18 PM

theres a red one for sale in the bay area for 900 right now.

akaryrye 02-13-2007 03:19 PM

of course, now im tempted to pony up the cash for that one. nah ill wait for a better deal. Summers coming up and ill just leave the top down anyway, then find a good deal over summer when people sell em.

god I hope the demand reaches a point where there is profit in making hardtops aftermarket that arent 1500$... a nice 400-500$ hardtop with a rectangle lexan window... they would sell so godamn many of them it would be a joke.

$400-$500 isn't enough to make a good profit, but if the stock units continue to increase I wouldn't be suprised to find unpainted aftermarket units for right around $1K in the near future. Anything less than $800 and the company isn't making a solid profit (unless they are built in china).

adbradley 02-13-2007 05:57 PM

go china
