Might as well start a thread about this since there will be so many people on here playing it.

One cool thing I have seen is that you can walk up to a machine gun turret and pull the gun off the tripod and walk around with it. Pretty neat!

I've been fiending for months.
On the Carrier, if you're not flying or sleeping, you're playing Halo. After 6months of a few hours per day, the average squadron LT could roll through legendary like Philip rolls through noobs!

All my neighbors and buddies have 360's, so I never bought one, but I bought 2 wireless controllers cause some of my buddies are cheap-asses and thought I should contribute something more than wicked farts.

But that all changes this evening. Costco has a decent deal on Premium w/extra controller and charger for like $400... but Kmart and Target are practically across the street. I'll be buying one tonight and probably scoring H3 at the NEX tomorrow morning.

I'll be up for online matches in a week or so... gotta head out to the ship on Thurs for Carrier Quals.

My projector is going to get some serious action in the next few weeks!

 

i'd rent a 360 to run through halo3... is that plausible?

Well, I just solved it. The game, sorry to say, pretty much sucks ***! If Halo1 was an 8 and Halo 2 was a 9, I would say that Halo3 is a 4. The ending is so damn confusing that I am left wondering what actually happened. The game play absolutely sucked ***. I can remember playing the 1st and 2nd games in the series and having my heart just about jump through my chest when stuff started shooting at me. Not this time. I haven't read any reviews on the game but if they say it is better than the first two they are lying! It was a complete letdown. At least Cortana was better looking this time. Oh well, maybe the new GTA will kick *** when it comes out.

I would have no problem playing Halo2 again (I have played it start to finish 3 times so far) but I will NEVER play Halo3 again. Just didn't like it...

Save your money for the clutch. Watch the end on youtube so you know what happened (if you can figure it out) and play Halo2 instead.

 

i think they've got progressively worse (and too damn focused on multiplayer), i could replay the 1st Halo any day of the week it was so damn good (fun shooting the arms off of zombies and having pets), the 2nd eehhhhh....... ruined the xbox franchise for me personally.

 

Tribes...that was a good game.

 

im waiting for my copy... if it sucks oh well i'll just pop in that halo1 in

Just wanted to let you know, because of you, I've had Halo3 here for 12 hours. And it's still in the plastic wrapper.

 

After reading all this I am glad that I decided to goto sleep instead of going to 7-11 at midnight to buy it. Maybe when gamestop gets a used copy in a I will pick it up.

 

the reviews say to play it on the harder/hardest mode your first time or you'll turn into a housewife.
