That's what I was thinking. And he wants people to donate parts so he can get some of that p-tang. It's worth a laugh anyway.

edit: I wonder if the mystery woman even knows he is doing this? I doubt it. I bet he has been stalking her and is now trying to win her trust. I hope it doesn't go bad for the woman.

Honestly, it's tragic, I really feel for his son.

I concur. Supporting evidence is the fact that he had the "dating using Craigslist" post a little while ago. Waaaaay too much :cjerk: in his life.

Another "omg, remember that crazy guy? he really is crazy!!!" thread.

You people need a better hobby.

gospeed81 03-26-2009 08:59 AM

I just wish they wouldn't delete my posts without a warning.

I had a valid point...

As far as hobbies go, we do have better hobbies, like turboing our cars. I consider it a public service to let someone know their perceived intentions are way off base with acceptable norms in our society.

As I said before, I'm doing it for the kid. Who needs their dad stalking college girls and spending what little money they have (which could go towards his college) on trying to get laid.

EDIT:

I thought about it during breakfast, and us following him around and harrassing him is no different than picking on the outkast kid in junior high. One person pokes or prods him, and he develops awkward protection mechanisms that make him more of an oddball outsider. I think it's important to remember there are real people at the other end of the T1 cable, and they have real lifes. In this case a single dad that is struggling for acceptance in the online auto enthusiast community. We may never understand the impact of our juvenile actions on his life or that of his son.

I talked to Eli via PM this morning, and I'm not afraid to say we connected, and may even be friends. I still don't agree with a lot of his ideas, or the way he conveys them, and I hope he doesn't pull me into agreeing or supporting some misunderstood concept he has, but we talked like grown ups.

Profile of the Sociopath

"Profile of a Sociopath"

Glibness and Superficial Charm

Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

etc. etc.

levnubhin 03-26-2009 10:39 AM

Don't worry, the 1st time you openly disagree with him he wont like you anymore.

Yeah, I had originally blasted him on that, but like m.net always does, they just deleted my post without explanation.

I had a valid point, and a single curse word :jerkit: got the delete stick.

still unhappy about mt.net mods randomly editing my posts.

EDIT: Also, doesn't mean I won't call him out or rail him when he's off base. That should apply with anyone, I hope my "friends" let me know when I'm wrong.

all I know is she types like a total retard. Makes you wonder is shes a super hot dumb blond or just some really weird lookin girl.

Hot chicks that are into cars are rare. Hot chicks that are into cars and hang out on internet forums are even more rare. So it's a safe bet, without reading a single post from her, that she is not attractive. Just the facts of life. Yes, there are rare exceptions, but, well, they're rare.

Women into cars are rare, period. Were I in Hyper's position, I'd offer to help the girl out. If she was a no go, well then at the least I'd have a friend who might have some hot friends that she can introduce me to. And really...worst case scenario is some chubby sex you can't tell anyone about.

the_man 03-30-2009 04:27 PM

Meh, I can round up enough bitches and hos without resorting to busting my hump trying to fix their cars. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the copious amounts of slutty tramps around here. I'd also argue that your worst case is far from the worst case. I propose alternate worst case(s) would be A) getting some form of STD, B) her winding up preggers and/or C) picking up a whacko stalker.

NA6C-Guy 03-31-2009 03:39 AM

I dunno, I know a hottie thats into F bodies (has 2, ones quite fast). Know 1 other girls thats pretty cute thats also into cars and modifies.

They're out there, they're just not common. Then again, guys who actually know what they're doing with their car aren't all that common, either. So it would stand to reason that the subset of the population that is into cars, knowledgeable about cars, female and attractive would be fairly small.

I have gotten past the "want to find a girlfriend that's into cars so I can brag to my friends how cool she is" thing. While my girlfriend is into cars, she's not into them nearly as much as I am. She wouldn't spend all day at a dyno shop, and she wouldn't want to spend a day helping me with a car project (well, she would, if I asked, but I wouldn't ask. I don't like help.) That's alright. I have my hobbies and she has hers, and as long as she doesn't bug me all the time about it, (like previous girlfriends) it's cool.

Yeah, they are out there. I was engaged to one for a while, but unfortunately she was too much like your option C listed above (she went whacko and refused help, and thankfully I live too far away now to be stalked).

It is frustrating that there aren't many women into technical things...cars, engineering, computers, etc. I look at some of my friends' relationships and wonder how they can put up with girls who can't even help themselves if they were to get a flat tire on their way to practice their only hobby...shopping.
