Help!!I think my wife is cheating

So lately my wife has been working alot of evening shifts, and for the past couple months has been carpooling with a male co-worker. At first I didn't mind, I would rather have someone with her in case she has car trouble or something like that, but it seems that they have become a little bit more than friends. You know the scenario, the phone calls that hangup, she starts wearing nice clothes to work, talking about him all the time, etc. I don't know what to think. If I'm out in the garage when she gets home (usually after midnight) he just drops her off and leaves, but if the lights are off in the garage and I'm in the house (they think I'm sleeping) they sit out in the car for like twenty minutes. I asked her once what they were doing, she said "just talking"....whatever. So last night I decide that I'm going to see what really goes on out there. I leave the garage door open, but turn out all the lights. About the time she usually gets home, I go out and hide in the garage and wait. In a few minutes, his car pulls into my driveway, and I'm hiding behind my Miata. When his headlights shine through the garage and onto my car, I see something that I just can't believe. My my tires are already worn from my camber. Do you think I should buy some falken azenis or go back with the yoko es100?

cjernigan 10-29-2007 09:07 PM

I like my azenis personally, never had the es100s, though i've read that the es100s do better in the wet.
Women..., thanks for the joke, always better the 2nd time around. Atleast the miata can't leave.

KPLAFIN 10-29-2007 09:08 PM

So was the first part of this even rmotely true? LOL

word.

Gloko 10-29-2007 09:50 PM

ES100's suck IMHO......go with azenies.

timk 10-29-2007 09:56 PM

The Azenis will wear faster I reckon, if that is what you are worried about then maybe consider something with a harder compound?

FASTERTHANYOU 10-29-2007 10:19 PM

This was just a joke intro to a real question

I have 15x8 sportmax and my 205/50/15 yoko es100 and rub a little bit, is the azenis a bigger tire in the same size?

Arkmage 10-29-2007 10:19 PM

ditch your ho and get another miata... they take up less space in the garage and are cheaper to feed and clothe.

RS-2s

Loki047 10-29-2007 10:19 PM

let hear the harley joke.

I liked it. THanks Faster

Same shit, just the punchline is that it is leaking oil.

patsmx5 10-29-2007 10:38 PM

hahahahaha. That was great!!!

slutz4 10-29-2007 10:53 PM

hahaahahaa I totally fell for that. I dont know about the yokos Ive never tried them. Azenis have always been good to me tho

Bryce 10-29-2007 11:36 PM

I've got Azenis, haven't had anything else besides what the car came with (Some Yokohama something, All-season shit). I can't imagine a tire that'll grip better than the Azenis.

firedog25 10-29-2007 11:45 PM

I have Ziex 512's on my Miata, they work well for spirited driving as well as all weather tires. Believe it or not, it does rain sometimes here in SoCal.

ApexOnYou 10-29-2007 11:52 PM

Azenis!

You wont regret it.

miatamania 10-29-2007 11:56 PM

Hankook RS-2s are a good choice too...I've had both kooks and azenis on mine...the azenis grip better sideways, the kooks seemed to deal with water and stuff better.

BTW, I've never heard the Harley joke, but I can guess how it goes now...but that was priceless...thanks! this is why this forum is awesome.

ApexOnYou 10-30-2007 12:08 AM

Personally I favor the Azenis over the RS2. The RS2s just werent predictable for my driving style.. Now that miatamania mentions it, my Azenis did suck on anything other than dry pavement. Actually, the only wrecks ive ever had due to bad weather were on Azenis now that I think about it haha

TheBandit 10-30-2007 01:53 AM

I wouldn't go with the es-100's if performance is a factor. Either the RS-2's or Azenis are the way to go performance wise. Azenis may have a bit better grip, but the RS-2's have good wet and last a bit longer. (Guess which I have)

that was some funny shit...

Zabac 10-30-2007 09:44 AM

cool story, i was getting concerned for you man...lol, never heared any other version...
RE01R seem to be better than azenis, i may try them in the spring when azenis are done, otherwise, azenis and use sense in the rain, but they do suck when its wet

miatamania 10-30-2007 01:21 PM

Forgot about the RE-01...its a monster hybrid tire of amazing performance and lasting durability.

Rage_Kage 10-30-2007 02:23 PM

thats funny, azenis for the win

cueball1 10-30-2007 02:42 PM

Cost a factor? Is the Miata a daily driver? Where are you located so we know what weather to factor in?

Cost and weather aren't issues - RE-01
Cost is but weather isn't issue - Azenis
Cost and weather are issues - RS2
Cost and weather are BIG issues - khumho spt above freezing/ Ast below

Latch 10-30-2007 03:55 PM

I've tried a bunch of street tires since my affair with the RT-215s, before the RT-615 existed. ES100 had a much longer life but nowhere near as much grip, and these Kumho SPTs are less grippy than the Yoks. The Kumho MX was a great tire that a friend used, but probably not quite as nice as the Azenis.

Cars tend to give better returns than women as far as time investment goes, IMO. Money too.

grippgoat 10-30-2007 05:40 PM

Poo on the RS-2. They wear fast, melt on a road course (unless you drive like a pussy), and have a sloppy sidewall, and are bouncy on coilovers. They are sticky, and have a great wet pavement reputation, but meh on them.

As far as I'm concerned, it's all about the Kumho Ecsta MX.
- Great grip. Not as good as Azenis, supposedly not as good as RS-2, and not as good as the more expensive Advans and RE01, but still definitely in the "great" category. Certainly better than anything in the T1R/ES100 spectrum
- Great wear. My STI has had agressive camber and screwed up toe for like 5000 miles since I put them on. They're barely showing wear at all, with no signs of tearing off the inside shoulder or anything.
- Cheap. This means they have exceptional bang for the buck.
- Heat Tolerance. They won't melt when you take them on a road course (I haven't verified this personally, but they are the street tire of choice for the Subie track event community, and subies are heavy)
- Good sidewall, at least compared to the RS2.
- Quieter than RE070s.
- Wide. For a given size, they're pretty wide and look really aggressive.

I've had a set of them in the 195/15 on the car for a couple of months now, and so far they're fantastic. Definitely going to wear faster than the old T1S, but for the grip (whether stone cold or boiling hot) they're fantastic.

RE-01R FTW!
