Default HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!1.8 DIFf

okay i really need help...can't take off the diff housing...can anyone help me quick...okay i got a 1.8 diff trying to take off housing..i got the nut holing where the driveshaft off...its not a torsen so its got these things comming out to hold the axles...do i have to take those out before i can take the housing off? if yes then how? please help thanks in advance!

take off the stubs or halfshafts whatever then pry apart.

are the stubs the ones comming out of the diff?

how do you take the stub shaft off??? is there any bolt holding it inside..can i just knock it out with a hammer?

if there are short axles coming out of the diff that have a big 4 bolt flange on them those are called the stub axles. they pop out. pry them with something. they will pop. they have a spring ring on em that keeps em in place in the diff

btw, "its not a torsen so its got these things comming out to hold the axles" is not valid. both open and torsen diffs have those in 94 and early 95.

Two pry bars will do the trick, or you could use two large flat head screwdrivers, just watch the seals.
