Here is my street toy, just off the dyno.

Its a Ford A4 349 Stroker, Eagle 5.315" rods, Ross Custom pistons, Novi 2000, Victor 5.0, AFR 205, 80lb/hr, Aeromotive sumped tank & A-1000 fuel system, Probe SMR, Custom Cam, LS1 coils, PA K-member, Tremec TKO, Mac Long tubes and cat back, Turbo Coupe rear disks out back Lincoln brakes up front. With an AEM standalone.

Still needs some street tuning because it kept spinning tires on the dyno. And my tiny 1 5/8 primaries on the headers put up a wall at 6800rpm. Going to go Turbo some day so I don't plan on addressing the short cummings of the exhaust system. Cant wait for it to stop raining so I can drive it on the street!

Faeflora 11-04-2010 10:07 PM

Wu tang hypercolor mustang ain't nothing to fuck wit

I don't know jack about domestic engine builds. How much did the motor cost you in parts?

Sam TII 11-04-2010 10:14 PM

Nothing like a supercharged 5.0 as a daily. Two thumbs up.

gospeed81 11-04-2010 10:16 PM

NIIIICCEEE torque curve.

I remember Mystic paint...that was the shit back in the day.

WonTon 11-04-2010 11:27 PM

why is this not in your miatas engine bay? :giggle:

Could you imagine.....in Miata!

Cost....a lot. I have owned the car since 93 and painted it in 99 when the color was "in" cost a fortune and its staying that color.

rmcelwee 11-05-2010 05:04 AM

Looks like a nice toy BUT how about take a day away from the build and clean your garage <G>...

Faeflora 11-05-2010 09:10 AM

That's a great paint job. Looks like 20 coats of clear.

m2cupcar 11-05-2010 09:12 AM

IMO that paint is perfect for that vintage Mustang. I want some vids when the sun comes out. :bigtu:

rharris19 11-05-2010 09:22 AM

My street toy would break the dyno and makes 800 torques. Mainly it would break it because it weighs 7500lbs, but whatever.

I have always had a thing for those cars and this one seems really well thought out. Kudos.

Funny, but I've been in that garage when it was so packed full of shit you couldn't walk through it to get into the house. And by shit, I mean everything that's now under the hood.

miata2fast 11-06-2010 08:51 AM

I remembered the mustang days. Nothing like a car standing on the bumper, and the track 'disappearing'. It takes a while to get use to. Crowd digs it though.

Zabac 11-06-2010 09:25 AM

Nothing like a foxbody 5.0, nice Job!!!
Only car I hit a 100mph sitting still in haha

Stomped on that zr1! Nice fox man, i can dig it even with the groovy paint.

EO2K 11-06-2012 02:23 PM

Lol, almost makes me miss my 2 Fox Mustangs. I had a primer black 1985 GT that years later would have been called "murdered out." Wasn't by design though, it was because cheap. 5.0 and a big ass Holley carburetor was really fun.

viperormiata 11-06-2012 02:24 PM

I love that paint

Braineack 11-06-2012 02:26 PM

Would DD.

I've always had a soft spot for fox bodies. Reminds me of the good ol days in Richmond.

But how would you transport your dogs to Obama rallies?

miata2fast 11-06-2012 03:24 PM

Props for bad assness.

Braineack 11-06-2012 03:31 PM

I've always wanted a purple mustang. No lie. True story.

vehicular 11-06-2012 06:56 PM

I never could make up my mind between purple or green...

Doppelgänger 11-09-2012 09:40 AM

I want to steal that paint.

Trey- I had one of those shirts....back in the day lol

TurboTim 11-09-2012 11:03 AM

OH shit, a notchback foxbody. You cannot find those anymore. Great lines IMHO.

jacob300zx 11-12-2012 09:39 AM

My Dad had an 86 LX 5.0 for about 8 years when I was way younger. Many memories of epic donuts and trolling people from stop lights. It was baby blue with dark blue interior. Would like another for daily. He now drives a Tundra daily and has a pink miata race car WTF lol. Would really like an SVO or older GT pre flush headlights with a big carbed 351 and auto.

triple88a 11-12-2012 09:57 AM

Should have done purple shiny intake manifold too.

leatherface24 11-12-2012 10:29 AM

I havent seen a paint job like that in years. black people killed it for me

LOL The original intake was purple (same as car). Painter did it before he told me, I hated it. Too much. I upgraded to the one you see and power coated it nice and normal.

Does your Paxton sound like it's eating gravel all the time? My buddy's Novi2000 has sounded like it had lunched all the teeth in the gear train for ~10 years now. He keeps saying they're all loud like that, but his sounds gnarly...

Yep, they all loud. Give it some gas and you cant hear it anyway. My Vortech V1 before this one was way louder tho.

Last weekend I went to the local 1/8th mile track for the Fall Brawl. One class only allowed naturally aspirated motors and clutch assisted manual transmissions. (I guess that is getting popular these days).

An old friend of mine was racing an early 90s coupe with a carburated 349 stroker turning a T56 trans.

He went a 6.25 @ 110mph in the final round winning the final round against a 311 inch powered LX (can't remember if it was a hatchback or coupe) that ran 6.35 @ 107mph.

It was an awesome night of racing. Saw the most intense wheelstand ever in the radial tire class. Brought back some good memories at that old track.
