Default Excuse my gayness, Integra Qs?

I can't sift through all the Honda bullshit forums so I was hoping someone here might know better than I. I might be purchasing a DC2 Integra and would be building it into a bit of a track *****. Unfortunately the chassis has 200,000 miles so I'm thinking I should do some seam welding and stiffening. I'm trying to find a good forum or some good links to preparing a DC2 chassis for track use but not having any luck.

Anyone here have any good links?

I've got a couple friends w/ track prepped DC2s, I'll see if they have any suggestions and get back to you. You do know that the motor is in sideways and the wrong tires spin through right?

Mostly I'm just looking for info/diagrams for seam welding the DC2 chassis. Need to add some stiffness to an old chassis but I'm not going to be caging it.

I would think that the aftermarket bracing solutions would be fine for your needs. Otherwise, seam welding cars is usually the same process. They usually have all the same seams. Door sill, shock mounts etc.

I have a love hate relationship with our Integra. Right now I love it. Its really fun to drive, handles great for a WWD and isn't terribly low on power, just has bad gearing for the most part.

Check out team-integra.net for more to the point technical info and articles.

The Integra had a B-series in it, so it has an intermediate shaft, and equal length axles.

Here's a good site for non-integra specific autox setup science.
http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets.html

Not sure I'd bother with seam stitching. Just replace all the bushings, upgrade shocks/springs/brakes/sways and goto town.

I thought one was longer than the other too, when I did my clutch change. Maybe I was dreaming

I think I'm going to pass on the seam welding and basically copy our ITA race car set-up minus the full cage. Might do just a back half cage / roll bar because the car will still see some street duty. Thanks for the input guys.
