HESS gas

how long has hess gas had 10% ethanol mixed in? I usually run BP but the price was 3.23 so i thought i'd save some going down the road to the HESS station where it was 3.22 :vash: Anywho i saw the 10% ethanol sticker on the pump and wondered when this happened if it is a new development? :dunno:

I compulsively buy my gas from BP, car loves it. Marathon gas makes it cry inside. You think your car likes more ethanol, or do you not not notice a difference?

i thought that some ethanol has been the norm for ages...i could be totaly off the charts though

Not sure when it was introduced into each companies gas. But it started showing up in the media around 2005. I know the original ethanol plants in the 1970s had originally gone bankrupt back then though. ;)

I noticed for the first time last week that the Shell station I go to have signs all over their pumps saying that their gas has 10% ethanol. I know they never had that before so this must be a new thing. I stopped going there for now and now go to Chevron. Shell may have been adding ethanol for a while now but maybe this is their way of covering their ass if people start having problems with their cars running crappy. My car isn't turbo'd yet so will this create a problem? I run 93 all the time anyway I wonder what kind of effect it'll have on my car when the turbo goes on.

Almost every gas station in WI has 10% ethanol. This past weekend I went to a station in the middle of nowhere that had huge signs advertising their gas with no ethanol, I thought that was strange, it was the first one I've seen.

pretty sure Ethanol replaced MTBE as the oxygenate of choice when MTBE was found to be a bad contributor to groundwater pollution.

Never used their gas, but dammit if I don't have the most ass rapingist collection of Hess toy trucks. At Christmas time, will you get a truck for me and ship it? I used to go to NewYork (where they have lots of Hess stations) at Christmas every year, but most of my family up there has died or moved. :gay:
