Default Shipping a car...

... from Kansas City, MO to Carlsbad, CA. Open transport, nothing special. Anybody have a favorite carrier?

What are you transporting? If its reliable and seats two + luggage I can drive it out there for you.

Seriously, I live in KC and the wife and I are planning vacation to LA in late July.

It's a 2004 Subaru Forester. Runs and drives good, but has no windshield, no lights, no tailgate, no fenders, no nose, no mirrors, and is on four spare wheels.

ROFLMAO!

Interesting project or assembling a cheap DD?

I would consider driving a U-haul. Run the numbers and if it saves some cash I would happily submit to a background check.

I'm checking into that option. The Subaru comes with a tow bar, so all I'd need is a vehicle capable of pulling it. The rental car companies all told me to go **** myself, and the online tools for U-Haul / Budget / Penske won't let me select anything smaller than a box truck for towing. Need to give 'em a call.

Thanks. Searching is easier when other people do it for me.
