Hiring someone to make a webpage
What is the best way of going about this? Is there a website where I can seek a web designer? Anyone here interested?

If it's a relatively simple web page or storefront you need and want it to function well and scale accordingly to mobile etc. I recommend squarespace. You can get something up and going very easily and it's easy enough to update and teach employee's to update. Also thier pricing is not bad.
I use them to host my dad's paper business website, a local churches, and a local tuner shop. All of which I spent maybe a couple hours on before handing them off to their owners and doing a little training. Build a Website - Squarespace |
blehhh web designers >_<
What kind of website are you looking to create? If its just information distribution then DIY is well within most people's skill levels. If you need a shopping cart/web forms/etc then maybe contacting a designer is a good idea. I have no idea how you find one unfortunately. I had good luck with Joomla, which is similar to Squarespace. I had bad luck making a wedding website on Squarespace, but thats just my experience. |
If you find that you need more than something like square space can provide, I know blazdesign does good work. You can see some of her work at https://blazdesign.com.
