Default Holy Crap

So I showed my friend the inline 6 miata posted earlier cuz he's a Supra guy and he responds with videos and pics of his car.

I just about **** myself when he said he overboosted to 64psi and made 1978whp. He had to put on a second 44mm wastegate to keep up with the 91mm turbo.

8.83@160, but that was on the older 88mm turbo. He blew the motor first time out with the 91mm. Figures it was fatigue from the 64psi run.

Lame all that work lining up for nothing. I mean crap, I flip a lot of switches to start my car, but not a million like he does after the burn out. What do you suppose the button is he's pumping?

I'm assuming he meant when the motor went boom. Such things happen when you overboost to 64psi.

supras are some of the most rediculous cars in a straight line... all those switches are to get permission to launch his car with nasa.

His turbo alone likely cost more than your whole car!

If it was my car i would use more efficient pump that you only have to press it once. Not bang on it.

What's up with all of the spectators wearing white jumpsuits?

That Supra drag car sounds amazing when it spools. Last time I went to the drag strip someone had a 7 second turbo car there. Low 7s just tuning it, not competing. Purpose built, full fiberglass body, huge slicks, etc. It sounded like sex on wheels when it launched.

My friend is aiming for the record for 10.5 tires. I think he said it's 7.8s@189mph. He's saying his should do 7.7@195mph. If he hadn't overboosted and fatigued the motor, that last run with the 91mm turbo should have been close. His 8.8s was on the old 88mm turbonetics that blew up at 45psi.
