Holy dog testes, where have I been??? I even moved!
I'll admit, after selling the Miata and having 2 kids, I've been a little absent around here. The only Miata part I still have lying around is a set of 3.63 gears still in the factory plastic... just couldn't bring myself to sell them... yet. The wife's Speed6 is plenty fun when I feel like it, so I'm kinda getting my fix, but I figure another Miata is about 5 years away realistically... just think how cheap 99's will be then!!!
And to update... just moved back to Ventura County, living on-base at Pt.Mugu NAS. I've got a desk job for the next 2 years. Being on USS Nimitz was a helluva great time and the shit I did was simply amazing... but time to make sure my kids recognize me when I come home EVERY DAY!!! In any case, gonna attempt to be around a bit more and throw my weight around the NOOB forum... maybe talk some shit now and then! I'm less than 100posts to 4000, gotta get crackin'! -SAM OH Yah, SUCK IT! |
Sam!
Glad to hear you're back with family. Hurts every time I think about the year my daughter didn't see me walk through the door every day. |
I dont want to think of the days where I need to quit working on my car because I have family. Living with my GF is enough to keep me away from the miata too much :(
How do you like Ventura County? My GF grew up there. I expect to be out there again for xmas. |

It's nice to see your still alive and kicking. It's been awful quiet in the meet and greet section since you haven't been around. A desk job?!? How do you get by without any insanity? It's probably good to get a break from the constant running on an aircraft carrier. I'm sure it's good to be able to spend some time with the family too. Glad you checked in...fucking noob! LOL! Would you like me to spell something wrong or use improper grammar so you can get back in the swing of things? |
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back. [Welcome back Kotter]

Yay, welcome home man.

GTFO noob :noob:

Sam, do you remember that time you went over to Scott's house and manhandled that rear sub-frame.
|
thanks for the service. welcome back.

Welcome back! Thanks for serving. Looks like the porn to support our troops worked.
|
Welcome back! Your pre-departure pr0n thread is still one of the funniest on here.
|
Wow. Stranger. How long has it been?
|
Welcome back Sam!

Dibs on the 3.6

Welcome back Sam, glad to hear you're going to be able to spend more time with the kids. My wife has taught my eldest daughter that daddy "went on a bus, and an airplane, and a helicopter." She recites it every time I talk with her on the sat phone.
Now go bash some n00bs! EDIT - I'm imagining you at your desk job. You're smoking a cigar, and pulling in Maverick and Goose for a talking to. You remind Mav that he doesn't own that plane, the taxpayers do, and that's his ego is writing checks his body can't cash. You lament that you'd prefer to reprimand him somehow but you can't, you have to send two people to Mirimar. You regretfully inform them that Cougar lost it and turned in his wings, making them #1. etc. |
;) Cheers and welcome back!

Good to see ya.

Glad to be back. For my first official action at the new job, I'm headed to Pensacola for 4 weeks for Aviation Safety School. Should be the last time I'm away from home for more than a long-weekend in the next 2 years. Couldn't be happier.
I have been looking for a "latest project" to restore some of my manhood. Going from various 3-car garages to a 1-car here on base has taken it's toll... mostly the enormous amount of shit we've always had space to store inside now resides in the garage. I am actively purging stuff on a daily basis, but the wife just can't understan why I NEED TO OWN 3 floorjacks and she can't have 30 pairs of flip-flops. In any case, I've fallen in love with the idea of an 80's AWD Civic Wagon and have been trying to find a beat-down one in the local area. Whatever I buy has to have at least some utility to pass muster with the wife. This is the idea: http://www.jeff-young-design.com/Wor...ivic-Wagon.jpg |
Nice pick. I love the 3rd Gen wagons.
I have a '91 RT4WD. Can't wait to get the turbo on it. :D |
