Did someone say white keyboard?

X-mas gift from the girlfriend. And she spent way too much money on it - $175 ><. But I've wanted one of these for years.

You have a Model M 84-key Spacesaver that is PS/2?

They go for $100+ working, you frequently see them hit $200 for mint condition ones like that one.

AT or XT?

AT ones are even fairly valuable (Mint, you'll see $120-$150), XT ones aren't worth crap typically.

Well, if it's an 84-key spacesaver, even if it is XT, you may still be able to get some nice cash from it if it's in good shape.

Model M spacesavers are rare. It inflates the price considerably - I looked for years before I finally got talked into that one.

Although I do find it funny that your keyboard is more valuable than the whole PC it came on .

I was pissed when I found out my Mom threw away my original Texas Instruments TI 99/4A. Had the box, and all the games still. Still have the games and the monitor we used with it, but alas, no TI.

This **** was awesome....i wish there was an emulator with all my games.

Yeah, sadly, all that stuff is really valuable now.

I've got some stuff I kick myself for getting rid of. However, keyboards like the Model M are continually rising in price due to people like me.

Software engineers type all freaking day. It is worth an immense amount of cash for me to have a keyboard that has the best typing feel I can get - especially when it's something like the spacesaver, where I can fit a mouse where the 10-key goes on any keyboard tray.

You don't want to know how many of those I have thrown away at my previous job.

Oh another lunchless day...typical. I had some leftover chili spaghetti when I got home from work yesterday and for dinner I found some Steak & Shake coupons and decided to hit them up for a $2.99 Steak Frank w/fries. Tonight is a mystery...maybe some Chicken Helper and Pasta Roni.

Out of curiosity - why would you throw away a model M?

Actually, I'm serious. The things are tanks :P. The only reason I could come up with was "The business wanted new keyboards."
