Any product that was successful in France is fail. Although data backup every 3 seconds would have been nice assuming the actual hard drive didn't fail.

Sorry, it shot right past me. During the DOS era, I was a WordPerfect guy.

WYSIWYG preview mode FTW!

Amusing trivia: Last week I threw away all of my old floppies.

All of them.

8", 5.25" and 3.5".

Chyron, C-64, DOS, Amiga, Mac... They're all gone. Every last one.

Goddamn shipping dimensions cutting into my profits! I figured a single camshaft wouldn't cost much to ship, but apparently its length kills my profit. $24 to ship to MN. 10lb in a 3"x3"x25" box.

PS, I save ALL boxes. My Manfrotto monopod box is the perfect size to fit a 302 camshaft with two layers of bubble wrap around it, and 2" of buffer on each end.

My house goes through quite a lot of recyclable waste, probably as much as or more than the normal garbage. Unfortunately, the trash runs twice a week and the recycling once every other week.

since we've got single stream recycling and a composit bin, our actual trash output is very small. By mass, fully half of it is kitty litter and that is technically compostable (if it's just kitty peepee. I spend enough time shoveling kitty litter so I don't bother.

Also there's the risk of the lolcat epidemic:
Eyeo2013 Ignite #12 - Kevin Slavin on Vimeo <==== FUNNY WATCH.

We often don't empty our single 13 gallon trash every week.

Now goes the gamble. Shipped with USPS. Made sure the lady stamped Fragile all over that ******* box. Maybe that won't backfire. I can see pissed off employees purposely ******* with fragile marked boxes. Hopefully no one will drop it too hard. The box is fairly rigid though, it would have to drop pretty hard, or have something very heavy sat on it.

I've had terrible luck with packages lately. So much so that I've given up selling anything I have to ship. Still have to buy things online though. Amazon is the only place I trust for shipping anymore. I don't know who they use here in PHX, but it's a white van and the boxes always look brand new. I'm sure it helps there is a Amazon warehouse 10 minutes from my house. I was sai the box from DIYAutotune was utterly destroyed. Everything looks okay inside though.

You should offer my neighbors a trashcan for recycling bin trade.

anybody else here have bad shoulders or frequent shoulder pain? At least once a month for a few days I get what I assume is a rotator cuff issue. Just got over one in my left shoulder a few days ago, and now completely out of the blue today sitting at the computer watching a video, I moved my right arm and let out a nice yell when it felt like someone stabbed me. Welcome right arm pain. This time the limited range of motion is pretty extreme compared to normal, and the pain is considerably sharper and less forgiving to movement. It just had to be that arm, and in the range of motion that prevents me from effectively using a mouse or shifting gears. Taking a shower earlier was a mine field, and I probably sounded like I was being attacked and murdered trying to shampoo my hair.

I see impending shoulder(s) surgery in my future. When I am swimming, I sound like a rattle trap from the popping in both joints.

Edit: Well looky there, I made it to post #2000.

Sorry, that rattle trap reference made me laugh. Swim in a lake and have big bass coming up to see what's going on. Happy 2000. I just got back from buying some glucosamine condroitin drink, I need some sort of relief. Aleve not helping so far. No sleep like this.

Other news, a large UPS 767 just crashed at Birmingham Intl, about a mile off the end of the long runway. It just occurred to me sitting here that I used to live right about where it supposedly went down. Planes flew literally right over my house, just above tree tops. The airport bought our neighborhood out to extend the safety runoff for that runway.

My shoulder noise is especially comforting when I am swimming offshore. You know, where sharks live!

I have not turned on the news yet. Luckily I did not order parts. Nothing like having your parts arrive waded up and soaked in jet fuel.

I almost sent my camshaft I sold yesterday via UPS, but decided to risk it with USPS. I can see a good chance that my part would have been on that or another early UPS flight leaving out early this morning. That would have almost have been kind of cool to say I had a part on that plane.

Correction. It was an A300, not a 767. And it was inbound from Louisville, not outbound like I thought. I'm interested to see what the NTSB has to say. Not too often to see a crash on approach.
