So i'm the only one who thinks that looks like a can of mush?

I thought they were little fish.

Is say, a stock '99 really slower around a track than a stock '90 or '94?

The NC is heavier still, but it's not slower than an NA or NB around the track.

The artist pre-rendered 48 different images, representing the entire day at 15 minute increments. The images are stored on the server with filenames corresponding to GMT+12, which seems like an oddly arbitrary choice. (For instance the image which corresponds to 03:15 GMT / 10:15pm EST is named "15h15m.png")

When you access the web site, the server checks to see what the current time is, rounds to the nearest 15 minute increment, and loads the appropriate image based on that time.
Thanks, that was my question. Wasn't immediately apparent to me how the image stayed updated -- didn't catch the changing file names on the image.

Examining the underlying HTML code behind the page reveals the following, which gives a clue as to the author's sense of humor:

<img src="http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/now.png" title="This image stays roughly in sync with the day (assuming the Earth continues spinning). Shortcut: xkcd.com/now" alt="Now" id="comic_now"/>
Yeah, the hover text is half of the brilliance of XKCD.

Huh? No. The phrase "decreasing both lightness and laptimes" was meant to convey the sense that the NB, while heavier, was also faster around a track. Decreased laptimes = faster car.

That's the whole point.

The NA is not a fast car. It simply happens to be very loud and dramatic. I think we can all agree that going 60 MPH in an NA subjectively feels much more exciting than going 110 MPH in a 7-series BMW.

This is what I expect that a lot of people mean when the compare an NA to a go-kart. Not that it's necessarily the fastest thing around a track, merely that your kidneys take more of a beating.

Yes, I misread your sentence. Maybe I should start drinking coffee.

When I think "go-kart" I agree about the kidney's, but I also take it to mean "nothing has the same precision, direction change, etc." I've always thought it was people taking a relatively minor difference and making an authoritative statement so as to seem better at discerning the trivial.

I'm using Chrome, works fine for me. Hit F5 or something (I work in IT, trust me).

Brain-yak, look at the position of the map. It should show you in the right place.

Also if you keep watching, the image moves without requiring a reload. So it's not just checking time at load...

The new Butterfinger Peanut Butter cups are good, in case anyone was curious.

I already lost all muscle mass after eating 1 last night.

An entire paper towel just for that snack? Sorry. Not ghetto. Ghetto is a chunk of cheese and some water from a jar.

There are two little fish in there. I just topped mine with a little minced garlic, sesame seeds and a little hot sauce. Bite of fish, bite of toast, tastes like a fish sandwich. But I ate it, so I'm already dead this morning. You're talking to my ghost.

I looked for it before I left. I looked for it when I got back. I never saw it for sale.

He still needs a turbo.

Re:trackspeedturbo. You have to be in the know to know. I would email sav and ask to beta test. Be persistent, that's how he knows who is serious.
