Joe, That's the easy way. It's turning a large hole into a small one that's the challenge

I've had to do that in the past. The trick, in my book, is not getting hung up about trying to match the look and grain of the original. Contrasty-inlays (eg: satin black) seem to work much better. The best one I ever did involved an inlay that sat about 1/8" below the surface, and then we filled it with epoxy. Took half of eternity to sand it flat and smooth and then polish it, but it looked baller.

The surgeon just cleared me to drive.

Healing pretty fast!

^^To drive or to scooter? Good news either way I guess! Congrats!

I just edited our department 'Time Off Request' workflow and added an entry to the 'Type of Time Off' dropdown called 'Trackday, Bro!' and submitted a request for Sept 29-30 (Miatas @ MRLS is Oct 1-2 this year)

My boss approved the request but then told me to fix the form before HR sees it and loses their collective ****.

Why would HR care? Time off is time off. As long as it isn't illegal, why do they care how you spend your PTO hours?

Damnit!
Looks like I've been a victim of false advertising. Turns out this is a six speed.
I guess I just wasted $375.

Because I edited the form and added an entire official 'class' of TO. This is like 'Bereavement Leave' and 'Kin Care' and 'Maternity/Paternity Leave.' Its not a simple 'fill in the blank' section of the form.

The fun part is that I'm not supposed to have rights to do these kinds of things, but our software package is so screwed up that I can do these things. Fucktard consultants never set it up correctly and this is my way of a subtle reminder to the guys who manage that project that it needs to be fixed. I'm all for proper disclosure, but after waiting for it to be fixed for months I decided to have some fun with it.

Another example is our Employee ID Card system. Rather than using some sort of restricted read only account to pull the data from SQL they set it up with admin rights to the whole ******* database. I called out the guy who set it up and he basically told me it had to be set up that way because he was too lazy to figure out what the software needed to access and no one in HR would be smart enough to figure out how to edit anything anyway. So I changed his job title to 'Lazy Bastard' and made him a new ID card. I swapped it with the one in his desk, I'm not sure if he's noticed yet.

I'll let it slide this time, but as a consumer, I'm pretty indignant.
Looks like those bastards did it again, except this time they attached an engine to it.

I hope nobody falls for it like I did.

Well, looks like Scion is finally going away. I guess there is a god.

They should've kept them all as Toyotas in the first place.

Most of the articles about this indicate they are going to assimilate most of the Scion models into the Toyota lineup.

Yep. Oddly enough they're going to make the FRS the Toyota FRS instead of GT86 like everywhere else. Probably because FRS is recognized in the states already I'd assume.

What options did an LS package on a 2000 Miata have? A good friend is selling his 70 year old mother in law's car with 40k miles.

I appreciate it. I don't m.net and don't really wish to start. Many thanks.

He said something about LS but it appears to be a base model from what I can see.

Manual trans with 44k miles for $4500? Sounds like market value-ish to me.

For Florida, yeah. Up here, I'd expect to pay around $6k for the low mileage, assuming no rust.

[i]So if your motor is leaking ALLOFIT through the frontal area passenger side~ish of the oil pan... Dripping river also down from the crank or oil pump seal in the front.

What would you do to prevent excessive oil leakage while you refill & drive to work. Low rpms? Light loads? Reduce maximum pressure use?[/drunk]
