What?

I took a reading of the PID throttle % when it was acting up. 10.6% at idle running rich.

The issue magically went away, still 10.6% throttle. I have a ODB code for 'throttle / pedal position sensor high voltage' -- I had extra money so I grabbed a airtex/wells TPS off of rock auto. Wouldn't hurt to try, fingers crossed

I shouldn't be surprised that an entire forum exists for this purpose...

Anyway...

I'd like to take this opportunity to appeal to all male members of MT.net to grow a moustache. No reason in particular, I just find myself being disturbed by the growing trend of moustachelessness in this country.

Today is Saturday April 22, 2017. There's no better time to start.

Had one since the 70's, along with the close-cropped beard. It is all a little whiter now......does that make me a racist?

^^ THIS ..............................and THAT^^

I haven't shaved my upper lip since I graduated from high school (twas a non-negotiable requirement to continue residency in the parental home).

Basically always felt shaving my lip was an unnatural act.

I just shaved mine off, with the beard. Since mine has gone grey, I look much older with the beard. I'll regrow the beard/stash when I get fed up with shaving, which just happens to be about the time it starts getting colder.

The only thing that would get me to grow a mustache would be the opportunity to buy a red Ferrari 308, and I'm out of parking spaces.

Bruh. Get your trimmer. That's more bush than beard at this point. Even that lawn out.

So today I started taking the turbo off. Been running it on an open wastegate for the winter and today i decided to mess with it.. yeah the turbo barely spins. Not sure how since all the oil/coolant lines are fully in tact but something seized up. Will be putting everything for sale in the upcoming weeks.

Current progress, oil/coolant lines are all removed. The intake side including the intercooler is removed and back to stock. Getting a ride to work tomorrow/tuesday and then at it again wednesday to pull the turbo/manifold/downpipe.

It was a fun ride but the thought of a corvette sounds funner.

Never mind... Just found out that Ferrari 308s are expensive, and not all that good.

They are really good at looking sexy, and pretty good at being a fun sports car for weekend cruising.

They are not a good track car, and will probably lose stoplight drag races to most modern performance cars.

And yes, they are stupid expensive. A decade ago they were $20K, but now they're a lot more than that.

Two cars meet in parallel at a cloverleaf highway on/off ramp. One is getting on and one is getting off. Who has the right of way?

This morning, I was the car getting on the highway. The car that came up parallel to me was signaling that they were getting off the highway. I honked vigorously at them when instead of slowing down to exit behind me, they accelerated with me to the end of the ramp, then cut over and slammed on the brakes to get off at the last second.

Was I justified?

Pretty sure legally the guy on the interstate merging off has the right of way. It is always the duty of the person merging onto the interstate to either speed up or slow down to merge safely.
