(I'd still beat his *** on anything with a curve though)

My homeboy DDs one that makes just over 500. It feels like a more nimble version of my old S4. =(

**** no. Cash only. I also do a bill of sale. I don't like carrying thousands but it's ok. If anyone tried to rob me I would ******* kill them. By beating them with my fat wad.

My buddy just got back his S4 avant after being tuned for 650hp.

He needs to supply his pulley size correction factor.

Apparently you cannot compare kits by boost level because one SC kit might have more efficient compression/airflow than the next. So if FFS makes 190HP at 10psi and say BEGI makes 220HP at 10psi, it's only because you need to apply the FFS correction factor to the BEGi kit because of the unfair use of compression/efficiency.

One of the reasons why the pulley ratio was asked is that, as stated, it is more about the ability of the blower to flow air. If the intercooler is extremely restrictive, then the blower speed has to be increased. Might be 15-18PSI at the outlet of the blower, for example. The FFS is spinning the blower at 105/65 * 7000 = 11,300. If, on the other hand, the Bell is running 130/65, for example, that would result in 14,000 on the blower and it would have the capacity to flow a lot more air. As a Positive Displacement Blower, it is trying to move 1 liter of air for every revolution. That's almost 2,700 more liters of air. At roughly 28 liters per cubic foot and 1.65 standard cubic foot of air per HP, that is an advantage of almost 58 HP. I would expect more than just 3, in that case. All speculation though as the numbers are slow to come from Bell. One should compare apples to apples. Boost to boost just don't cut it.

Do supercharger disciples really try to argue efficiency?

Do you have a reason or what? Not ripping on you, but I'm curious as to why you would refuse to take something that's safer than cash and guaranteed to clear.

Only when Tom needs to convince his customers that his 190HP kit is better than a 230hp one.

well once you factor in octane of gas and timing...the kits are the same. so whatever.

For large transactions, nothing beats US postal money orders. Cheaper than a cashier's check, and theft proof if you remember to write the receipient's name on them. USPS has a limit ($3K, IIRC), but you can get around it easily enough.

I thought the limit was somewhere around $500? I recall having to purchase several MO's for a single transaction.

EDIT:

$1000 limit per MO, if you need more than $3000 in a single day you have to show photo ID.

1K max each, but you can get multiples. I sent $3K for my SC and accessories, and I had to make 3 separate transactions. Supposedly, I had to fill out some federal forms for that much, but the P.O. lady just logged out and back in to foil the BS.

I only accept Western Union payments for a larger amount than my asking price.
