Just bullshit from the same know-nothings and do-nothings that think turbos are voodoo and have never actually driven a performance car so they must know everything. They have other people change their oil for them. How ******* smart can they be?

Air in and out of the engine makes power. No cubes and no rpms means no power - that's it. CR won't make but a few % difference in the low rpms. It will, however make your boosted engine much more likely to detonate even at low boost numbers. I have Desktop Dyno if you really want to see how pitiful the difference is between 9:1 and 11:1 on our little bitty motors. I've run it in the program before and it wasn't worth it.

You could at least change the name Zack Morris to something more interesting for fun.

Well considering the price, why not? So it's only a few percent, still worth it to me. Might not help terribly much down low, but all across the band it will help.

Also, I think I will just stick with the stock bore. As much as I want oversized bore, I know when the time comes to do all of the work, I won't want to do it. I'll just pick up some OE replacement 01+ pistons, shave the head .020" and be done with it. Slap on the 99 head, do the cam upgrade, the other ****, and call it a day. Still should be capable of 140-150whp.

I am going to post here because no one give a **** about my build thread

I am having an issue with MS. My VE table does not goes pass 255. I am currently on a 99 motor with a 2870 churbo set a 15psi. I was able to run 15psi with my previous 95 motor. My VE values have had significant changes and a LOT of fuel has had to be added throughout the boar. My question is this number (255) a cut off of some sort or just my 460cc injectors' DC is toping out. Thanks ya'll xoxo

Do you mean that the value of any individual cell in the VE table cannot exceed 255?

If so, then this is completely normal. The VE table uses 8 bit (one byte) numbers to store the cell values, and 255 is the largest decimal number that can be represented in a single unsigned byte. It's a simple mathematical truth: 2^8 (2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2) = 256, minus one (to represent 0) = 255.

If you're in a position where you need a value higher than 255 in the VE table, then your Req_Fuel number is seriously screwed up.

Yes, and I did not know that... IIRC I set my Req_fuel are recommended for 460s O_o

EDIT: I just went over my Req_fuel, and for some reason they setting were very odd to say the least. I input the correct values and the number changed from 6.4 to 6.6 now... I am not sure that would suffice.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Wife just called to say she was leaving the driveway in the truck, heard a loud pop, stopped and got out, and now one of the front wheels looks like it's being turned. Neighbor told her that the "tire rod probably pulled out of the tire."

Dammit. Just got my bonus too, guess I'll kiss most of that goodbye. Waiting on the call from the wrecker service to pick it up.

Think about it this way, if it would have happed when she was driving it could have been far worse. Ya kinda got lucky in a way.

you guys have to read this ****:

going to a loong day, H has some explaining to do!

I was making our bed this morning and found a condom wrapper. Now, I know it was not from us, because my 6 year old daughter and I spent an overnight at my sister's on Saturday. It is not an old wrapper, because I make the bed every morning and I never saw it.

DH is not the type to be doing anything with anyone else, but, this is something he needs to explain. I have never known him to please himself, but, that seems like the logical explanation. Which is fine, not a biggie.

How would you bring this up with him? "Hey, found this in our bed, whats up?" I know he will take some kind of defensive stance, he does with everything else.
replies are great: http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/f...spx?MsdVisit=1

A buddy wants me to do a head gasket on a S10 (not sure year, haven't bothered to check). I could use some extra cash to fund the miata project. Has anyone done one on these? Is it a PITA. It's the 2.2L.

I can't imagine it being every hard. Remove wires/hoses, remove timing chain, remove head, check head, replace gasket, install head, install chain, install wires/hoses.

If the head is done, anyone have an idea of how cheap these 2.2L go for? Can't be a whole lot.
