Possibly. I rarely use my a/c down here as it is, and I'm moving this year, too. One thing I constantly think about is how much longer will my 23 year old a/c system continue to function properly and whether or not it's worth doing the change.

Bryce was able to do it using a collection of NA8 parts and it seems to work alright. I'm all hardtop now, so no rear window venting for me.

Damn Brain, you've been on a war path lately. Are you actually developing a testosterone level?

exactly that. it's like the hulk's pants.

and btw "UNIVAC" was just a placeholder name for my computer. I irrationally didn't want to share the real name.

Huh. I guess I'll have to figure out how to get inside the Hulk's pants, then.

Oh, well... That's less cool, then.

The names of my computers are:
Lodestone (main PC at home)
Gamer (media server PC at home- it was originally just a NES emulator.)
Dude (my newer laptop- it's a Dell.)
Feather (my older laptop, an extremely small & light Vaio)
Tuner (ancient P3 tablet)
Se7en (PC in my office)
Guybrush (one of my lab PCs)
LeChuck (the other of my lab PCs)

Plenty of space to build a locost. Of course, you won't have the time or money anymore...

Locost and lemons/chump car will be made in that garage in the next year.

The plan is to furnish the house to a bachelors level. So cheap table in kitchen. Couch in front of the fire place. Desk in my room with bed. Then on to buying **** for the garage. Tool wise I need a good air compressor, HF band saw, then the plasma cutter. After I have those I will go on to sealing the floor with some sort of epoxy. After tools and floor is coated hopefully I will be getting a Max Jax lift for the garage. While it wont be able to take cars up to high, it should be much better then jack stands.

Edit: The first thing that will be purchased after getting into the house will be a kitten. As a mod on MT I think that is required.

Love it!

I did the periodic table for my IP scheme. xxx.1 and xxx.2 and wireless devices named "Hydrogen" and "Helium" accordingly. My VM Host and lab boxes are all Period 6 heavy metals and my networking gear are noble gasses.

The only place I broke from this scheme is the management NIC in my network tap box. It's named "Mordor" and it lives on xxx.254

And yes, one does not simply SSH into Mordor...

Only if the sheep haven't been drinking, sober consent is a big issue.

So I can blame marines for all the frequent, redundant and buddy grouping briefings on sexual assault?

Serious question time:

When we are speaking of concepts such as entropy, decay, thermodynamics, etc., we speak of open systems, closed systems, and isolated systems.

Is the universe itself a closed system? Is it isolated?

What happens after all of the hydrogen contained in all the stars in the universe is fully converted? Does the second law of thermodynamics still apply at this scale? What would actually happen if the universe did reach complete thermodynamic equilibrium- could matter continue to exist?

It has been posited that the universe is expanding. If the universe is the sum total of all space, then what space is it expanding into? For the universe to be said to expand, it must be bounded by a finite physical shape. What shape is the universe? How can the universe even have a shape if nothing exists beyond it? How can "nothing" even exist?

The unknowable is not the unpossible.

since you can't accurately characterize the entire system "the universe", you can't make assertions about its size or isolation or even its closedness. There could be matter sinks or sources you can't know and account for by using designed-for-earth equations.

I guess what I'm really trying to say is: forget this problem, go get laid.

CASE 25. KYOZAN'S SERMON FROM THE THIRD SEAT

In a dream, Kyozan went to Maitreya's Pure Land and sat in the third seat. A monk there beat the gavel and said, "Today the one in the third seat will give a sermon."

Kyozan arose, hit the gavel and said, "The truth of Mahayana is beyond any verbal expression."
I do not have the Zen nature, and cannot accept "don't worry about it" as an answer.

I take any of THOSE "facts" about the universe with a grain of salt; anything we say here on earth with our earth-based calculations, science and knowledge may be completely different somewhere else outside of our solar system, so to make claims based off of a super powerful telescope is anything but.

Now, lets talk about women.
