I have a bunch of "friends" on facebook. Mostly, they're people I knew in High School who guilted me into accepting their invite during the lead-up to our recent 20 year reunion (which I didn't attend.) And, to be honest, I'm too lazy to figure out how to delete people.
Today, a few hours ago, one of them posted a picture which was neither attempting to sell me some health/fitness product from the company for which she is an "independent representative," nor telling me which foods I should eat.
This is the first time I can remember her doing that. It threw me for a loop.

nei·ther
ˈnēT͟Hər,ˈnīT͟Hər/
determiner & pronoun
determiner: neither; pronoun: neither
1.
not the one nor the other of two people or things; not either.
"neither side of the brain is dominant over the other"
adverb
adverb: neither
1. used before the first of two (or occasionally more) alternatives that are being specified (the others being introduced by “nor”) to indicate that they are each untrue or each do not happen.
"I am neither a liberal nor a conservative"
2. used to introduce a further negative statement.
"he didn't remember, and neither did I"
So basically, she didn't do EITHER of those two things, and hence did you no harm.

1: A thinly-veiled advertisement for some product made by the company of whose multi-level-marketing scheme she is a member, or
2: JasonC-esque "advice" about which particular trendy food or ingredient I need to be consuming right now.
Thus, a post which contained neither of the above took me rather by surprise. Up until that point, I'd assumed that she had absolutely no indigenous personality whatsoever, and was totally incapable of generating an original thought.2: JasonC-esque "advice" about which particular trendy food or ingredient I need to be consuming right now.
I'm still confused as to whether or not I adequately conveyed this in the original post.
Correct, that was the point I was making. Literally every other post she has ever made on FB has consisted of either:

So, here's how I'm seeing this right now:
[random newb having a problem re-assembling front suspension]: ...and the shaft protruding from the ball is just too large to fit into the damn hole!"
[me]: That's what she said.
[good2go]: I think you mean "that's what she didn't say."
[me]: Huh?
[good2go]:Your post implied that a woman said "the shaft is too large to fit into the hole," however no woman was mentioned in what [random newb] was describing
[me]: That's how the joke works, dumbass.
[good2go]: What joke?

For those of you who are into board games, I highly recommend "Pandemic". I've had the game for about 8 months, and so far everyone who has played with me has also purchased the game. Buy it, you will not regret it. You will probably immediately begin to have plans for more regular "game nights" as well. Games tend to be 20-60 minutes depending on experience and luck.
For those of you who are into the board game "Pandemic", I highly recommend "Pandemic: Legacy". It's best played among a core group of 4 friends. My friends and I are about 1/3rd of the way through the storyline and the game just turned a corner and started kicking our asses. It is by far the funnest, most suspenseful "gaming experience" that I remember ever having.
If you're an overcommitter, do yourself a favor and don't buy the Legacy version before 5-10 or more playthroughs of the standard version. Learning how to swim in the middle of the ocean is a bad idea.

It's not too bad here yet, well under 6".
I made it into work just fine (all hands on deck at the TV station for storm coverage), and all the transit services are functioning fine in NYC, but the governor of NJ decided it would be a good idea to shut down all of NJTrans. No busses, no trains, no PATH.
Wimp.

We had 14" when i took that pic. 2 more have fallen since. They believe we have another 12 coming with 8 to 10 hrs left of the storm. You know its bad when the drifts are over the chute of my blower. I have a medium to hvy blower.
Yes, I'm bored and drinking Jameson before my massage. Figured I'd get a head start since I have to be at work at 4am tomorrow.
The joys of a manufacturing plant where you have to wait for access to machines to write about how to fix them.

To be fair, it's getting bad. NYC shut down the bus system at noon, the Metro North and LIRR are shutting down at 4pm, they're suspending subway service (only on the above-ground lines), and there's a travel-ban in effect for all roads starting to 2:30pm.
And I just saw a guy riding a bike.
