I've been wearing Timberland Titan boots, black, soft-toe, size 14 for at least the past 6 or 7 years. Hell of a great boot- comfortable, durable, waterproof.
My current pair is getting to be a tad worse for wear. Before my recent trip to NYC, I was debating as to whether I should order them "now" (eg: October) or wait until after the trip. I decided to wait, on the grounds that my boots always get chewed up during installs, and I figured I'd use up the last of the ones I had. Came to regret that decision slightly when, upon the first good rainstorm while walking across lower Manhattan I found that they were no longer waterproof, however I managed to find a cobbler's shop that did some quick repair work on 'em.
So now I'm back home, and I go online to buy a new set. Well guess what- they're no longer available in size 14. I can get 'em in brown, but that kind of violates my admittedly absurd self-imposed fashion guidelines. I have worn black boots since I was in high school, and I don't really intend to change that any time soon.
It just doesn't work...
Updated list of companies whose' CEO I hope dies in a fire:
Sony
Timberland
http://www.myoutdoorwarehouse.com/Ti.../dp/B000XEH2Q8 Joe? They have a few pairs left of 14 if that's what you are talking about.
Same for http://www.footsmart.com/P-Timberlan...ots-86702.aspx - is your google-fu weaker than mine, Joe? That's unpossible.

The first link is the safety-toe version which I find a bit bulky, but that second link was the one.
I honestly didn't even think to Google them. I normally buy direct from the Timberland.com site, and when they listed them as NLA there, I figured they were just gone altogether.
Went to the Orthopedic today to get my ankle MRI checked out, turns out I've got to ware a boot for 3-4 weeks, then get physical therapy for 3-4 weeks because I've got a stress fracture. Bye bye February ship date.
**** like that scares me, that's why I take extreme caution when working out. Trying my best to not agitate one of my many sports injuries.
Wear; in order to get better asap.
Yeah, it doesn't hurt most of the time but it never really got better. But like you said, better off here then there.
I did it when I was running w/ my brother on an unfamiliar trail at dusk, so it was pretty dark, and really dumb of us. My brother had one of those flashlights that straps to your head, and I didn't.
Whats your ship date/MOS? I'm Combat Support which is tanks/arty/APC's some other slick ****. It's defiantly the MOS I want.
