Well uh.. I meant scottyd, but you can take credit for this one and I'll just bug you with questions later while I build the thing.

Your goal in control?

Save up for it. It will be worth every penny. The fact that you do not have to build most of the circuits is amazing. Also the there are a lot of interesting features being worked on.

MS3x is pretty badass. Guy on turbo bricks who has a generic 245 (Volvo Wagon) with a 2JZ in it. Using MS3x and GPIO board or 2 over canbus to control his trans (shift points and torque converter lockup based on RPM, vehicle speed and load), power steering, and boost.

I'm waiting for him to have his power windows go up based on speed too.

I assume that means it'd be easier to assemble?

MS3 is not completely stable yet. And it is somewhat pricey as well (+$200).

I knew I should have started a thread for this..

What do you mean by "not completely stable"? And I assume I'll have to buy stuff other then the actual kit in order to get it running. I'd really like to get this done, and having MS3 would be thuper bitchen', but idk.

There is a "Stable" firmware out. Most users are running some form of alpha firmware. I have been running alpha 11 since Mayish and I have not noticed any problems.

If you do go with MS3, you need to get the expander board. It is the board that has all the spare circuits and such on it. It has built in 8 fuel and 8 spark circuits, fan, tach out, boost, vvt, nitrous, VSS, AC control, and a ton of other things.

Basically on the main board you build power and circuits for the cam and crank signals. Then just about everything else is build into the expander board.

MS3X gives me bonerz if you can not tell.

When I have traction control working like a baus, you'll wish you were as cool as me.

Is traction control necessary? I never really use it.

I hate how much **** is on eBay, it can be a PITA to find what your looking for if it doesn't have it's own category. But yeah, I hate people too.

Ran into an interesting article about the cause of the 2008 financial crisis. http://boingboing.net/2011/12/21/com...tute-clai.html

Holy ******* long day Batman. Woke up at 4:15, left the house at 7:00, just now getting home at 11:30. That's a pretty full day of work. My eyes are crossed now, and I can't make them straighten out.

Anybody here a fan, or a listener of hip hop and rap? I'm by no means a big fan, but I do enjoy a lot of older stuff from time to time. I was sort of forced to listen to new garbage today, and made an observation that Lil Wayne cannot make decent lyrics for ****. Out of 3 or 4 of his songs I heard today, the lyrics were ******* ridiculous and retarded. None of it fit into any coherent story or had any meaning. It's like he just picked words and phrases that rhymed and had the correct number of syllables. I remember when rap used to tell a story of life in the hood, or how good the first of the month was. Now it's just a bunch of random words.

Not that much new music is any better. "Artists" are pushed onto people, just like everything else in modern America.

I'm a huge metal fan, however I occasionally listen to some old rap and I agree, the new stuff is absolute ****. I've had bowel movements with more rhythm.

See random picture thread.

You just never know if you are being scammed anymore or not. Sold a computer on there, it was in perfect condition before sending it. Now the seller says that the video card broke out of the PCI slot, broke the slot, and now the video card doesn't work.

How do I know this guy didn't improperly remove the card, break the slot, and is now saying he received it broke. There is no way to know. So now I have to do a damaged goods claim with UPS. Who knows if I will win or not. Luckily I insured it. But it's up to UPS to decide if the item was packed well enough. SIGH
