I'm tempted to make a thread requiring all MT users to neg-prop Jake.....just to see if we can get him in the negative 100's

having issues with the HDMI cord and my PS3. Actually, it seems like it's the TV, not the PS3. TV is flashing, but I can see the PS3 screen and it's all ready setup for HDMI.

No idea what to do.

Is it that constant blinking? Mine does a blink once or twice when I start it up, thanks to my shitty receiver. Do you have it running though an audio receiver of some kind? If it's that constant blink, that looks like fun... wait on Sony to release a fix.

Though, thinking about it, it did seem to start all of a sudden, after a system update. It's like the PS3 is sending a weird signal, or the signal cuts out, and the receiver goes into "seeking" mode, looking for a signal. then within 5 seconds it comes back up.

Constant blink from start up, not like the video where it starts when the game is started.

It's annoying. Like really annoying. I just want it to work. I really hope there is some release to fix it. Seems most people are having issues with the cheaper Westinghouse TV's (like mine; 32" HD, LCD, 1080p)

It has to be similar to my issue then, since it's sort of a problem between the PS3 and whatever it's connected to. PS3 must be sending a weird video signal that the hardware/software at the other end can't fully make sense of, and it cycles between signal and no signal. Thankfully mine only does it once or twice, then it all syncs up and seems to work problem free.

According to that link it seems to be worst with the Westinghouse TV's...lucky me

Not trying to sound like a whiner, I'm no means a tech kind of guy. I can live with standard def. but I want to try out my new Blu-Ray movies in the way they were supposed to be watched and I rarely watch TV it would be nice to have the better quality for my games, movies, etc...

Honestly, I'm thinking about just sending the TV back and getting a full refund. Then probably getting a nicer quality Samsung or Sony for a hundred bucks more. Those seem to not have the overwhelming problems that the Westinghouse TV's are plagued with.

Edit: Holy crap, those threads discussing fixes are from 2007. I would hope something has been done.

Anyone use a LCD 1080 monitor to run their PS3?

I used my 24" 1920x1200, it looked OK, but of course had a bit of a stretch to it. Would have looked better with a 1080 native monitor.

It's nice out so every douche bag is washing their car. No room. Oh well guess the car is staying dirty.

We're staying in tonight. I used to be one of those ******** out all night for new years drinking, then driving home. I've since changed my ways and don't want to even be a part of it anymore. So, instead we'll be here, probably watch a movie and have some shots and/or wine, then I'll try to get her to put on one of her little outfits for me.

In Key West we drop a drag queen down a building in a giant red stiletto for the new years countdown.

I'm going to go eat duck confit and duck breast for the first time.

I'm so classy on New Years.

Duck is like a greasy chicken. At least the duck I've had.

I will be chilling at a friends place tonight. Will be having some drinks but not going to get plastered or anything.
My beer for the night-

My beer for the 12 o'clock time-

I've had a long running in dining and fine dining. I've worked 4-5 star resort restaurants and yacht clubs.

I know, it sounds lame, but the money is unreal. My last job was at Little Palm Island and I worked there to pay for nearly all my school, mostly part time. That was a killer job. Working on the beach, good money, boat ride to work everyday and getting to meet some really interesting people.

Now I work at the most popular restaurant in Key West, it's called Blue Heaven. This place is a far cry from my last job but it's definitely cool. Jimmy Buffet did a concert here a few weeks ago and the bakery is sponsored by Oprah. CMT has shot music videos here and the Travel Channel and Food Channel have been here several times because of the Key Lime pie.

I mostly do floor work, kind of like a server, but mostly just to keep things together between tables and the servers. Sometimes I do Expo and sometimes I act as the night manager. It's really hard to explain and nothing ever makes sense, but I just go with the flow. Anyway, the money is unreal. I walk out with no less than 100 dollars cash every night and I still make 8 dollars and hour on the payroll. Last three nights were nearly 200 cash each night and 8 hours payroll.
