Tuning fail? I've driven and tuned 8.5:1, 9:1, 9.5, and 10.0:1 and prefer the low compression output and driving characteristics above all the rest.

Maybe not. Originally I showed up with a core engine, rods, and pistons, then picked-up an assemebled and built engine for $1300 that included bore, hone, line bore, balance, valve-job, solid-lifter lash job, and assembly with all seals and new guides.

I use a great machinist and if that's high, I don't care.

You are paying for the machinist knowledge and expertise, and when you have the right guy, it is worth every penny.

Miata rear finish panel and other parts

Wow. Dude will not budge on price for hard top. He's delusional if he thinks anyone would even consider buying that for that price.

It's not "like that". It was an observation on the first 10:1 FI engine I've tuned. It also did not have functioning VVT, so the top-end is hurt.

And he wants $125 for an obviously bent aluminum racing seat with a shot cover? He's dreaming.

Sweet. Just scored a set of shorty rear mud flaps for $20. Now I just need a Miata to put them on.

if two men can legally marry, then there should be no subjective determination in which they should recieve legal benefits.

but i say to that:

[Guy:] Do you love me baby?
[Girl:] Yes
[Guy:] Well how much do you love me?
[Girl:] A whole bunch
[Guy:] Well how much is a whole bunch?
[Girl:] Well I don't know
[Guy:] This much?
[ SLAP ]

Don't say sorry
or call her baby
and if she wants to go out
say, "Maybe"
Never let her get the upper hand
A woman can't respect a weak man

And if she talks back
You just have to slap her down
Give her that slap of love
It will keep her coming around

So she ran out?
Let her pout!
She just went down to the store
You know she'll have an apology and a Sixer
when she comes through that door

She loves that stinging pain
And she knows you'll have to do it again

And if she talks back
You just have to slap her down
Give her that slap of love
It will keep her coming around

Don't feel sorry
That's a mistake
The biggest one you'll ever make

I wouldn't trust her
as far as I could throw her
You might love her
but you don't know her

Show her your love with a slap
You know that she will come back

Now your looking at the rings on your hand
And your feeling like a hell of a man
The woman now knows her place
I can see it in her rosy face

And if she talks back
You just have to slap her down
Give her that slap of love
It will keep her coming around

Show her your love with a slap

Now that 949 is going to Hallett with us, I'm really thinking that my turbo car is usefull like a football bat. It's too heavy the shocks kind of suck, the diff sucks, the clutch is heavy, no aero, and did I mention that it's too heavy? It's too nice to make into a racecar...maybe it's time to do something different. I'm going to struggle to compete with Emilio in a car that should be significantly faster than Crusher, but I know it's not. Any recommendations on what I should do? I need a house, truck, and trailer before I can go racing.
