I think if more people met some of these older kids, they would have trouble turning them away. Mine is a sweetheart, and she would have lived out her teenage years in deplorable foster homes. And then she would have been kicked out on the street at age eighteen with no one to be supportive of her or even visit as family on holidays. The teens seldom get adopted out of the system. They have no one.

Taking on a 13yr old is only a 5 year commitment in a formal sense, which is much easier than an 18 year commitment. But, let's face it, kids are forever, and so should be parents.

Just chalk it up to my comprehension fail.

In other news, The scooter is almost done.
Wideband is all wired in, calibrated and setup so that the gauge on the bike and the Megatune gauges jive.

I had no luck at all trying to upgrade the firmware in the ECU. It's a V1.8xx, so Megatune it is.

One problem I am still having is the "Tuning point outside the window" warning. Just can't get around that. I will have to get creative with the AFR table, and maybe fiddle with the VE table, as well.

Is there a way to run that particular setup on AFR and timing only, without referencing the VE table?
I hate being a noob...

Just ordered the (probably) most expensive single part of my VVT build so far: shimmed BE street/strip pump. Both motors should be picked up by my builder soon for initial inspection/cleaning. Then it's time to wait for parts to show up

Just bought a 24 pack of pepsi... left it in the cart, drove off... drove over 14 miles in traffic till I got home until I realized it.

Raced back, found it in the cart. Victory.

How much room is there inside the front bumper?

Would I be able to fit a cylindrical object (about 6" x 12") on its side in there?

(That cylindrical object happens to be an electric power steering pump.)

Be careful asking about how to conceal cylindrical objects on a US-based forum right now. The CIA has plenty of drones stationed just to the southwest of you, and it probably wouldn't be a big deal for them to divert one over to Istanbul for the evening.

Yay! I have a Youtube subscriber! I feel so special.

(I have utterly no idea why anybody would subscribe to my channel, given that it's been years since I've uploaded anything, but what the hell.)

theory question for you guys,
first im going to say i have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge.
Theoretically could you take an aftermarket fuel pressure sensor and have it display the information on the oem gauge cluster where the idiot oil pressure gauge was?

I suppose, assuming that the fuel pressure sensor had a similar output curve to a common 10-180 ohm oil pressure sensor.

Some folks have installed VDO p/n 360-006 (a 0-80 PSI oil pressure sensor) in place of the stock idiot switch, without modifying the gauge. It doesn't produce a properly-scaled reading, but it sort of works. Note that most aftermarket gauges have NPT thread, and the block has a BSP-threaded hole, so an adapter is necessary, such as this: Adapters and Bushings: Bushings - 1/8" NPT Female x BSP (BPT) Male - egauges.com

The better solution for '95-'97 cars is to just locate a stock sender and gauge from a '90-'94 car.

thanks for the heads up on the block threads, i would have been really pissed off trying to install the feed line for the turbo with an 1/8npt not working. i may mess with it to see if i can get it to work, i just dont feel like having a dead gauge in the cluster figured that would be an alright thing to have in place.

In other TMI news, my colonoscopy is tomorrow morning. Having just taken the laxative, and starting on the Gatorade/miralax mixture, I thought you would all like to know that further postings will be done from the bathroom while I am shitting my guts out.

Hope that mental image keeps you awake.
