Give you bout tree fiddy.

Seriously though, sans BOV I'd say 150ish, depending on the price of the IC new.

With BOV I'd say 250ish.

Interesting, though. The picture you posted is the airplane I was talking about. 747 with drop tanks and twin-turbine nacelles. Of late, I've been re-watching a lot of classic Top Gear, I started at series 10, and have been moving backwards (currently in series 6). I'm pretty sure that airplane has been parked out there the whole time, and the picture you posted appears to be from Series 9 episode 5, where they all got tractors to plant biofuel with, but first had a series of idiotic challenges with. Specifically, that's Clarkson towing the airplane with a JCB Fastrac 8250 tractor.

However, I just looked in Google Maps, and I don't see that airplane anywhere on the field. I do see what appears to be a 747, however this one is sporting a conventional four-engine configuration:

Perhaps they're putting the airplane back to stock for some reason? Or perhaps this image predates Casino Royale? (I wish they'd date the photos...)

I'd never really considered the possibility that they might still actually use the airfield for operating aircraft. In the show, you can clearly see a large X painted on the runway (this indicates that the runway is inactive) and from Google Maps, you can see that it's just before the threshold on the 25 end. 7-25 looks like it still might be serviceable, though the other runways are clearly useless at this point.

I don't know how things work in England-land, but at any of the Whitehouse autocrosses we had to do a FOD walk and police up bits of tires and various car parts before we left for the day. I can't imagine that the TG track could be an active airfield then, unless they do their testing in batches and pick up after themselves.

I don't know the rules and regulations of aiports/runways, but I'd imagine that if you own the property, you can do as you please? As for debris on the runway, I'm sure they have the proper equipment to keep it clean as I'm sure they do even for vehicles and the high-speed stuff they do out there. But it's just theory. The runway is over 6,000ft long and the fact that newer satellite images show a different 747 out there proves that at least some aircraft come and go.

As for the Bond plane, I thought I've seen shots of it in various stages of dismantling. Unfortunately I erased all the Top Gear episodes on my DVR here at work to make some room and don't have anything newer than 12/08.

Currently I have 4 DVR sat boxes and 5 non-DVR boxes and 4 TVs in my cube. I'm waiting on getting a HD/LCD TV sometime soon as well. I use two of the DVRs to record music and regular programming and consider them "mine" as they don't go back into the pool of sat boxes we use here...I keep them in my stash so I always have content to watch when nothing good is on live TV. Sounds like a fun job, but it's OK...kinda a test to see how long I can go without falling asleep. If I felt so inclined, I could technically watch **** all day as I can authorize any programming on any box here at work. I do more than just watch TV...I upload software to the boxes and run through different tests.

I think I'm going to buy a 949 clutch next year. I plan to only spend money on wear items at this point, the car is hooked-up with the new shocks.

Twin organic. I know it sounds ghey and people roll their eyes when you tell them, but it actually makes the car faster. Since the upshift happen so much faster, that gave me less things to do while I was setting up the car for turn-in. It also puts a huge smile on my face every time I rev it.

On a side note, it was crazy to get on the gas in my car earlier than in John's car with half the power, weight, and a Cusco diff. AST > *

Hmmm....1998 Nissan Frontier up on CL for $900. Says it won't start, thinks it's the battery, could be the starter.

My ******* God there are some really ******* retarded people running around here.

So he have this guy on a couple of local foums. He is always trading/buying/flipping cars...not for profit, but just because. I've known of him because of one shitty forum called importatlanta. So awhile back he ended up with a Miata and joined our local Miata forum and started raving about how cool the car was and all these plans to CR it. Within a couple of weeks the car was up for sale/trade (no surprise) but his reasoning was because he got his GF pregnant. Ended up with some shitty EK Civic. Then claimed that said GF wasn't pregnant and blah blah blah. Now he came back to our forum with another Miata stating how he missed it again and wanted to do a few things to it. Knowing him I said "I give it 3 weeks" before it's up for sale. Go figure 4 days later it's posted FS/FT for a sport bike because he was losing his license and needed something he could run from the cops on.

I hope he gets that bike...and promptly ends himself.
