Default New-to-me daily 135i

So I was in the market for a comfortable daily that would not be boring. I ended up getting 2012 135i with DCT. I've had it for a week and it's been real fun, the torque down makes it a joy in regular city driving and the DCT it's awesome. So I thought I'd share some pics. Also, is there anyone in here with one of those too, Im looking in that JB4 crap haha

You sure that's a DCT? I thought it was just the same 8-speed from the 3 in 2012.

I drove a 2010 last week and totally loved it. Awesome daily. That engine... Wow.

I can't wait to get the hands (next week on Friday) on my new (to me, built 02/15) M135I Xdrive 5door.

4wheel-drive, 3l inline 6, 2 turbos, 320 bhp, should be fun...

no, we can get the CLA45 when it comes out...

we love hot hatches here, they sell well, yet makers refuse to cater to the market for some reason.

lol wut

You're telling me you'd shell out 40-50k for one of those?

Or by "sell well" do you mean "I'll buy second hand for half the price after 2-3 years"?

If I had the spare change, I would gladly shell out the money for the A45 AMG. 380hp turbo, 4wd, looks, sounds like a winner.

It's like an upscale evo.

Drive one and you'll know what I mean.

lol really?
I love evo's for making a ton of power and racing, but for daily duty they absolutely suck. Just my .02 tho

Yeah, but a Merc-level comfy Evo sounds about right.

Meh. Why deal with that car as a BMW, with all the reliability issues of a modern German car, when you can have the same thing as a Focus RS (4wd, 320+hp, 5-door, turbo) next year for less money up front and way less money over the length of ownership?

If the RS lives up to all the hype, I'll be impressed.
I say this secretly hoping it does.

The FiST and FoST are pretty universally adored. I think it's pessimistic at best to assume they haven't gotten the same fundamentals right with the FoRS.

Yeah, may the FoRS be with us. I loved the looks of the previous gen RS, but FWD is just not acceptable.

Maybe, but we're both assuming so who cares. If they get it right, SuSTi will have to step their game up or go the way of the evo.

I raced a FoST the other day; it looked pretty good in my rear view.

really the only complaint i have with my wrx currently is how loud the trans/diff/gears are. chatter and whine. low speed parking lots of awful driving around in 1st and 2nd due to semi-straight cut gears.

seats are great, i could drive for 12 hours straight without the slightest bit of fatigue.

I am curious to drive an ST. I may prefer the power delivery for the type of driving I do (e.g. drive to my boyfriends house)

and to pick up TVs:

and shrubbery:

I understand shitting on maintenance costs for German vehicles if you don't wrench but if you do they aren't bad at all. I have about the same amount into my 4.2L C5 A6 (Audi) as I had into my previous car (honda accord). Had the Honda for 60k Miles and the audi for 55k.

The ONLY thing that i've had trouble with maint wise is the people at the algnment shop are idiots. The suspension setup is apparently confusing to them.

I also had a 318I with well over 300k and the only parts i changed on that were fuel pump and radiator.

Nice car OP. I do dig that bmw 5 door that we don't get :( grats zaph.
