I absolutely enjoy taking it in the rear, I'm so gay!

I'm lucky I was watching the large Explorer barreling at me. I was yeilding a left turn on a green light. Saw this guy wasnt going to slow or move, lifted my foot off the brake, started to accelerate, then wham-o. I'm very surprised it's not worse....however, the door jams have an uneven gap, so id expect frame damage....I had to school his ass on how insurance works, he didn't know who's fault it was....cause he "didn't see my turn signal." :bang:

You do love getting hit in the rear!!!
Looks like you'll be getting some monay fo sho.

y8s 05-29-2008 10:03 AM

monay psssht, he's gettin a legacy.

m2cupcar 05-29-2008 10:05 AM

Ouch. Did the rear quarters actually touch the doors and cause that damage? wow.

I've had a few of those- watching the inevitable collision coming at you. One time I pulled my jeep over into a ditch and the guy rear ended the car in front of me. That lady kept telling the cop to give me the ticket because I was supposed be the one that got rear ended. :giggle:

Zabac 05-29-2008 10:12 AM

WTF? god I wish I could sell common sense...

levnubhin 05-29-2008 10:18 AM

All I can say is im glad you werent in your Miata.

Braineack 05-29-2008 10:27 AM

y8s 05-29-2008 10:29 AM

I do! So that's good at least.

LOLA - 92 05-29-2008 10:40 AM

Sue the piece of SHIT! And report it to the police about him not having insurance. Uhm, do you think they care about people not having insurance in Virginina? <-- OOPS spelling error!

Braineack 05-29-2008 10:42 AM

I called the police, they didnt care. I'd have to go there and file a bunch of paperwork and they'd start an investigation. fuck it. my insurance will take care of me, i wont have to pay, whateves.

Interesting, bigger crime to solve? Here it is a 10k fine, so police are on it right away.

Sucks to hear.

But that could prevent you from getting fucked in the future. I'd take a trip.

Glad it wasn't your miata, I'd say give up on them if that one got totaled too.

Saml01 05-29-2008 11:02 AM

Are you gonna be parting the Altima?

Vashthestampede 05-29-2008 11:08 AM

He doesn't have any insurance? What a fucking loser, I hate people like that. :vash:

I can imagine seeing it coming and being like "ohh fuck", but prepared for it. Then the guy getting out and asking who's fault was it. I would probably would have laughed in his face. :bowrofl:

Vash-

y8s 05-29-2008 11:36 AM

make geico do the legwork on him.

cueball1 05-29-2008 11:48 AM

Ouch my neck...
my neck...
my neck...
ouch ouch...

See the doc for "the neck". Find the hottest physical therapist you can and get lots of free massages. Play the game and get some of that money you've been paying, and will continue paying, to the insurance company back.

Saml01 05-29-2008 12:07 PM

^ yea, good luck. That stopped working a LONG time ago.

hustler 05-29-2008 12:11 PM

this shit sucks. I love how the police don't care about shit like this when they are out arresting people for smoking pot or sexoring with animals.

Mach929 05-29-2008 12:34 PM

i've been in that sort of situation before, it pisses me off when law enforcement doesn't care so i get even more mad and do everything possible to fuck that motherfucker even if it is a hassle for me.

Braineack 05-29-2008 12:40 PM

I'd rather just have my car fixed and not deal with it. no im kinda mad I prepared for impact and didnt hold the brake....it would have been better if it was just totaled.

SchoonerPaul 05-29-2008 01:18 PM

I was hit by an uninsured motorist in a Maxima I owned a few years ago.

My understanding is that your uninsured motorist coverage takes care of you. It did me. Then, they sue the pants off that person that hit you. They being your insurance company. That is assuming that the person who hit you has any assets to sue for. In my case I'm pretty sure the person who hit me was poor as a church mouse.

Glad to hear you're ok.

I hope the insurance company fixes your car to the condition it was before. If it has frame damage talk to them about loss of value if you haven't already. You should be reimbursed for that as well.

ApexOnYou 05-29-2008 01:28 PM

Damn Braineack sorry to see that. Why is it that 90% of the people who cause accidents are the ones who have no insurance, and half of them are too broke to sue anyways. (Like SchoonerPaul said.)

I take it VA does not have a required insurance law? Every state should..

Fuck that. Go to the P.D. and file a report! Get that muthafucker off the road and in jail where dead beats belong! You're going to be out your uninsured motorist deductible, until when your ins co sues him and recovers. When they recover, they'll reimburse your deductible.

Anyway, money aside, send that fucker to jail. Fuck him.

seriously... the police don't seam to give a shit about enforcing the laws these days. they prefer to just be a pain in the ass for going 2 mph over the speed limit, or for not having a front license plate.

we employ these guys, yet we can't fire them for being this way... that's fucked up.

you're tax dollars at work gentlemen.

Seriously...here in CT its "were gonna wait outside the house a family is being murdered in" one day and "were cracking down on seat belt violations" the next. Worthless fucks.

Never arrested, but I've had the Irving, TX and Oklahoma City, OK police tell me they had better things to do that write reports on collisions where I then paid out of pocket.

TonyV 05-29-2008 08:54 PM

I love how u get pulled over, forget your insurance card even tho you DO have it and get a ticket, have to fight it, etc etc...

Yet when there's an actual accident and someone who has no insurance is involved they have better stuff to do...fockers!!!
Glad to hear ur ok Briany

You think the insurance company went into business yesterday?

If you didnt opt to go to the hospital right there and then for evaluation you pretty much gave ur up right to sue the insurance company later if you develop any type of pains. Why? Because how could you prove that ur newly developed pain was a result of the accident and not ur own wrong doing the days after the accident and ur supposed claim?

Insurance companies wisened up a while ago, its harder to prove that shit nowa days.

Pitlab77 05-29-2008 11:25 PM

My GF got hit last week. The bumper on her sentra was Fuxored. Thankfully the girl that hit her had insurance. Felt kinda bad the girl looked to be a new new driver, but oh well she has to learn the hard way I guess.

miataspeed1point6 05-29-2008 11:27 PM

Its like that lady that rear ended me in her Avalanche. The first words out of her mouth were "I ain't go no insurance, this is my boyfriends truck".

I called the Detroit police, they said a 3 hour wait. I was pulled over for a license plate light being out...and yet I can't get a cop for a uninsured motorist who just hit me.

cueball1 05-30-2008 03:01 AM

Sam,

You are right, they aren't dummies. They are smart enough not to fight paying for a couple doctor bills and some massage therapy. Significant injuries like a bulged disc or fractures hurt right away. Most people get to a doctor quickly with those injuries. Torn muscles, stretched ligaments and over extended joints may feel a little sore when the accident happens but get worse with time as you ignore them. Going to the doc a week or so after an accident isn't unusual or unexpected. I'm not saying sue the insurance company for a phony claim, I'm saying milk it a little. They aren't going to make any noise over paying for a couple massages a week for a month or so. They want to make you happy. If you are happy with them it's more likely they won't have to pay out the ol "pain and suffering" money.

Like I said, find a hottie and get rubbed!

zoom2zoom 05-30-2008 04:16 AM

A few weeks ago I had a chick lock up her brakes behind me so I dropped it in 1st and hit the gas in fear she had no insurance. Same thing happened once when I lived in Colorado.
