I hate everyone in FL
Actually I'm just jealous. The wife and I flew into Miami last night for a Caribbean cruise this upcoming week, and it is such a relief from the freakin cold in Salt Lake! It's 8:30 in the morning here and I am sitting by the pool in shorts and a t-shirt basking in the nice sun. Weather.com says it's 24* at home.... You all suck.

i have friends in CT who call me every winter.
"that's it man, i'm sick of this shit, i'm moving south with you" "this blows, it's so ugly and cold here, why am i here?" spring comes around and they forget all about it...like i said, every winter i get these types of calls. it took me 8 yrs to convince my wife to move down to FL from CT. after 6-7 yrs. in south FL you couldn't pay her to move back up. so much easier, not having to put on layers of clothes, shovel driveways, de-ice windshields, start the car 15 minutes in advance so it heats up...etc not to mention having to put up with 5-6 months of just shit dirty weather. So much easier to get up, put on some shorts, a t-shirt and slide on your flip flops and out you go. Top goes down on the car, and enjoy. Life is short you know... |
This is a cold front. Brrrr!

we're doing the Carnival cruise to San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. We got a pretty sweet deal with airfare. I'm mostly excited to get out of the cold and away from work for a while.
I've tried convincing my wife that we need to move south, but she likes being around our families too much. Oh well. |
It was cold last night, low 40's. High today is 69.
Have fun on the cruise. |
Seriously, it was 78* 2 days to ago. Today it's 65*......I may have to bust out a light jacket;)
|
Grrrr...
I've been in Manhattan for three weeks now. We had a few "nice" days (temps in the 40s) but for the most part it's been in the 20s and low 30s, with insane wind to boot. |
I'ts 34 now! woot.
40 degrees is top down weather.. Too bad I'll be at work until the sun goes down and it hits 20 degrees. |
yeah, the "winter" here is nice. but the summer SUCKS!
|
It sucks way up here in Northern Mississippi. Got down in the 40's last night, high today in the low 60's. Might need a long sleeve shirt. Back home on the coast it doesn't get this damn cold.
|
Well, I have been cutting and splitting firewood all morning. Back to it after lunch. It's sunny and 21* here...
|
I miss Florida.

I always tell people from up north that when it get about 70 outside I have to get my jacket out. |
is it bad that i consider it top-down weather if it is above 40* F.
Fuck CT. i cant wait to get to somewhere warmer after college. |

I hate everyone in FL. No sarcasm here.
|
I was outside most of the day today and got absolutely roasted by the sun. I've been putting aloe on constantly since I got home. I'll have to post up a picture of the skin peeling in a few days. Damn Florida winters, when it's only 80 outside it just doesn't cross your mind to put sunscreen on!

I hate south Florida and can't wait to get out. Hot as hell during the summer, no fun roads to drive on and it's too damn crowded. Not to mention the economy down here is hurtin BAD.

I'd like to think Florida has it better than the rest of its Southeast brothers, since we still get cold winters, but have summers just as hot and humid. Winter in Florida does kick ass though. Id much rather take a trip down in the winter and be alone on the beach in 70 degree weather vs hot summer at 100. I hate the heat. Warm is nice, but hot with bugs the size of small dogs, and no rain for weeks or months at a time sucks.

You also get more people with bad attitudes from places in the country where bad attitudes are more common. Southeast FL doesn't have as many courteous drivers as west central FL does. We have more mid-westerners and southerners in the mix and the entire demeanor is different. It is a lot less stressful driving around here than it was over there. And we have a few curves up this way. The Poker Run today had us on most of the curvy roads in three counties north of Tampa. We even went through hill country in the Dade City and Brooksville areas(some of the only really hilly land in CFL) . I do miss the mountains sometimes in the summer... |
I always talk about how much I hate South Florida. Realistically, I miss it like hell. Maybe I just miss the parents penny, who knows. I miss the cuban/mexican/puerto rican food horribly.
And the bahamahs are like 60 miles away. Best seafood too. I think i'm homesick |

I hate this place. I've been trying to sell my place for a year with no luck. I'm living 2 lives right now with my wife in Charlotte and me down here. The people here are miserable. Like Phil said earlier no decent driving roads here. If I drive 5 hours from Ft Lauderdale, guess what? I'm still in F*cking Florida! When I leave the only thing I'll miss are my parents and 2 favorite sports teams the Marlins and Panthers.
