I love the price of Ford parts

Been buying some odds and ends for the V8 car. I was a bit worried about prices after been spoiled with cheap Miata prices but the fear was not warranted.

New King Cobra clutch, TOB, pilot bearing, alignment tool, good for 400WHP $160.55 shipped from dealer.

New high torque geared mini-starter (only 6 lbs!) $56.50 shipped from dealer.

8 brand new 30 lb fuel injectors (stock are 19 lb) $100 from private party.

Used Ford Lighning 90mm MAF $50 private party.

Used BBK 65mm throttle body and EGR spacer $50 private party.

Heck, they are as good or better than Miata prices.

Yep, new or used. I've bought one ford part - 65mm throttle bod and plenum that had all sensors including the tps. <$17 delivered.

Wife has a Focus with SVT suspension - parts prices always pleasantly surprise me.

Ive always thought miata parts were expensive as hell.

But I guess thats because in the past Ive worked on aircooler VWs, small block fords, and hondas. All of which are WAAAY cheaper

Seeing as I work at a Ford dealership, I get all my parts through here. We get a nice discount with all the local dealerships :D It made turbo charging the Miata quite a bit more affordable.

Yup, throw in GM as well in the "way cheaper then Mazda for OEM/quality aftermarket parts" group too. I'm just surprised that a lot of you guys even shell out the money for stuff Honda/GM/Ford/older VW etc guys would buy for a 1/3 the price but still equivalent quality.

Its likely just supply & demand, or we're all subconscious ballers. Either way I think we pay a little too much.
