I spoke too soon
After 19 years of faithful service to the little Miata, my OE battery is taking a dump. It has enough umph to start the car with no problem but the alt is working to hard. With the car off I am getting 11 volts from it. :(
Oh well $80 for an Interstate, and away I go.
