If FEMA had the bicycles, would it fund Hustler's manlet bib?

FWIW, I've been happy with my gp4000s2 on a similar size rim 18.3id and a 25c tire at 95psi rear and 85psi front. I'm 170lbs

Sagan's olympic MTB debut didn't go too well. :(

That superman move works because it's way more aerodynamic, correct?

You have to consider the what ifs. Just coming from the back to the front againts the best in the world and their peak fitness and not immediately blowing was flat amazing. That he held onto that position for a full lap while everyone else was dropped shows he we on some mad form.
How freaky would it have been for him to win Gold or just even medal?

agree his fitness is incredible. but all the mechanical troubles weren't simply bad luck... a huge part of racing mountain bikes is simply not breaking them before the finish (as I'm sure you know).

NINO would have smashed him regardless

I dunno, Kulhavy was only 30s back. Kulhavy vs Sagan, my money would have been on Sagan.

Sagan was lucky that the first part of the race was flat and basically a chance for him to skull-**** the rest of the field on fitness. However, it was perfect because it let him overcome his miserable starting position and ride with the best. I think he could have scored a medal. I felt like I was watching history during that race, lol.

Got on a few leaderboards coming to work today, got two #3 spots and one #4 spot. Was super excited at work, until an hour later when I saw that my rear tire had flattened and found a cut in the sidewall (though I didn't see a hole on the other side) must have been a real slow leak. Stuck in a new tube, dollar bill between in leiu of a patch, and used my co2 to get home. Picking up a used gp4000s2 tonight from a local who also tore one of his sidewalls and went to gatorskins, hope my bad luck will be limited to just this one incident, though I do hear of soft sidewalls on these being a problem for people with the GP4000s2. That's what I get, I was trying to ride the shoulder more this morning to keep the road clear for motorists, must have ran over a rock or a piece of glass. LBS wants to see it but said that there is a slight possibility that its still save-able, I could patch the inside, glue the outside, and save the tire for a back pocket spare, but they didnt recommend using it as a primary tire. Maybe I'll save this one for the trainer.

I hate the inconvinience of a flat, so I have liners, thick *** tubes and strong *** training tires. Super heavy, and makes my commute more difficult, but I've hit a curb so hard that I gashed the rim, and didn't lose a single psi!

Look at how weak and stupid I became after taking three weeks off due to the broken wing:

I just love the ride and handling of these tires, so I'm not ready to give up on them quite yet, though quite a few people have had issues with weak sidewalls and I realize I can't really be an exception to that. Put a patch on the inside of the tire, super glued it shut on the outside, got her pumped to 100psi. Good news is there is no bubble on the sidewall, though I'm still a bit sketchy about using this thing as a primary so I'll pick up that other 25c tonight.

Hustler, good luck on your recovery. I can totally believe 3 weeks causing that kind of change: since I've started biking more, I haven't been lifting as much (from 2-3x a week before to once a week now and not really consistently) and have really noticed some bad changes. The odd thing is I can still lift as heavy as before, just not as many reps, and going rarely I find myself doing more "full body" workouts than isolated areas, so I've kind of shrunk size wise with chest and shoulders and all (not a lot but enough to notice) so I'm really bummed about that. However, seeing your post makes me worried about my winter plan which was to switch my routine from what it is now, back to 2-3x a week at the gym and 1x a week on the bike, and what the consequences of that could mean to my riding next season. I really don't know how people can work out 1x a week and keep their physique maintained, maybe I'm just burning off too much with all the riding I'm doing.

I forget the biological nominclature, but there is a micro circulatory system that develops over a series of months of moderate to intense physical training. It only takes 2 weeks of inactivity for all of those miles of veins, or whatever they are called, to collapse and mostly disappear.

Oh, nice. Maybe there's short-term hope. I need to hunt and kill men in 2017, even thinking about Tulsa Tough.

I guess I'll do an hour of Z2 and a few *****-bitch intervals.

I was a gym rat for 13-years. Drop that **** like a bad habit, ride the bike, outside, with friends, with people you don't know, hammer, attack, fly down the road. **** all that gym bullshit, cycling kills it in every way. Plus, your legs will glisten.
