Turns out it was still alive and we had to chase it around the house to catch it after he put it down.

My dog caught a hampster in the back yard once. Someone's pet must have gotten loose. Still alive but broken. Quick whack with a shovel finished the job. Dog was dissapointed.

My cat almost ate a dog once. Also true story. It was a Pomeranian.

At which point you kill the ******* bird and feed it back to your wonderful cold-blooded bastard of a cat.

How would you even find that out? Freak.

Not sure about where you live, but that's definitely illegal in NY.

Careful of those teeth.

My cat is a killing machine. We live on the edge of a pretty serious canyon. About 6 months ago while I was gone, the city decided to remove the 2 packs of coyotes (about 15 of them) and relocate them further east. The ******* rabbit population exploded and he was bringing in a few a week to the back porch. Now that summer is here, the lizards are in full effect. About twice a week, we find a tail and a little pile of blood somewhere in the house.

Birds and squirrels are a once-a-month thing around here.

My dog caught rabbits a few times. She would always eat the head first for some weird reason. I caught her once just as she was settling down to it, took the rabbit away, cooked it up, then fed it to her. I figure she earned it, but I did not want to run to the Vet with a punctured stomach.
