I've done a poor job of updating this.
Here are some pictures from the last month. Attachment 229755 Attachment 229756 Attachment 229757 Attachment 229758 Attachment 229759 Attachment 229760 Attachment 229761 Attachment 229762 Attachment 229763 Attachment 229764 Attachment 229765 Attachment 229766 Attachment 229767 |
Man, you had awesome natural light. Then the roof went on . . . .
You must be excited. Dirt guy is supposed to show up next week to start on mine. |
Pic 4, those wooden blocks acting as stand-offs for the conduit ... they come out right, with the timber formwork? Did you grout that recess, or is it intended to serve an access function to the conduit?
Great shed, much envy! Is that typical construction, here it would mostly be gal steel structure, timber would be quite rare. |
Things are finally over the hill so to speak. Electrical is 90% complete sans the high voltage outlets and lighting.
Floor sealing is up next which should be the last hurdle I have to face before starting the mass exodus of cars and tools into the space. :bigtu: https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...fe7cf0c460.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...e94047b235.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...336bc093fd.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...c45facd9ec.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...84dbb03a44.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...83aa320b88.jpg |

Basic structure- how much in material did you spend, if you dont mind me asking?
I am getting ready to build, but trying to figure out how much i can actually afford. |
Awesome. Also, while you're answering Ryan's question, what process are you using for floor sealing?
My site work is done. I think I need to start my own thread. :) |

My site work is done. I think I need to start my own thread. :) HD37 followed by HD40 are the products specifically. Here is a thread from another guy over there that spells out the methods. He didn't have to wait a week to apply the HD40, but otherwise this is what I'll be following. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/...d.php?t=377522 |
This is awesome. I'm planning on trying to build a 40x80 shop in my backyard within the next two years, not quite as much space to build as you have though. I'm on 1/3 of an acre in your typical suburban cookie cutter housing subdivision.

Did you do any of the foundation prep yourself, or did you farm it all out?
|
The trucking company that brought in my dirt did my pad for me. They brought in a sand like material for final grading which the shop builder spread out for me. The builder also poured and machine trowled the concrete.
