Default Nurburgring site

www.nurburgring.org.uk

This site is by a British guy who spends his vacation time and extra money doing laps at the 'Ring, with a bunch of other folks. Has about everything you ever need to know about the track, even has a link to a webcam at the track entrance that updates once a minute. Super dangerous track - the lawyers would never let it happen here.

Some pretty cool cars - lots of pictures. In trip 42, there's pics of an RS6 on fire. Has a HUGE amount of nitrous in the trunk.

I love this one Dutch guy - they take "before" pictures of all his cars when he arrives.

According to the Carfax report on my old MX6, it spent a considerable amount of time in Germany several years ago with a previous owner. Sucks that my car got to drive the autobahn and (likely) the 'Ring, but I didn't. :(

Watch the live webcam on the site, it's pretty infamous on the nonrice car forums.

The autobahn (in most places) is no different that driving on our interstates.

Why in the hell would someone run an MX6 on the ring? That's about is stupid as autocrossing my wife's taurus (which I have done).

One of the wacky things about the ring is that you can drive ANYTHING as long as you pay the fee - Miatas, Ducatis, winnebagos.....and everybody runs at the same time.

Well, my old mx6 would have been right at home on the ring. With the upgraded suspension and higher output KLZE engine, it would have been a lot of fun. Don't underestimate the KL motors.

I want to know who would import an Mx6 from Germany. Or even stranger, who would take one to Germany with them.

The car must have belonged to someone in the military.

During the World Cup last year my buddy and I spent a couple days in Nurburg. We met the dude that moderates that site (at least he claimed to be the guy). We bought 10 laps for the afternoon and flogged our "rental" SL500 around the track. Gotta admit it was the highlight of the trip. So much addreneline, so much fear, so much excitement, I was more worked up about this then the first time I had sex
