I'm desperately searching for the water-temp gauge swap thread
where is this fucker? Its the thread where an auto-meter gauge replaces the stock water temp gauge.
Once we find it, please delete this thread. I have the link saved, but its dead. Yes, I'm actually working on my car today, amazing. |
You don't mean this one, do you?
|
thanks, but the link is not in that thread. The thread also discussed the red Ferrari challenge seat in the Miata. I can't seem to find it.

Aw, hell. We went though all the trouble to put in the new search engine, and you're not even trying.
Here you are, Labius Maximus: https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t29181/ (and the link in the thread is still dead.) |

so is that a mini-gauge or the standard 52mm? 1: Buy autometer gauge. 2: Remove and disassemble factory gauge cluster. 3: Remove glass and bezel from Autometer gauge. 4: Cut holes in shit. 5: ??? 6: Re-assemble. 7: Profit. Looks like a standard 52mm Ultra-Lite or Phantom series gauge to me. The next size down in AM's catalog is 38mm, and those are available only in the AutoGauge family, which look completely different: http://autometer.com/img/products/2352_d.jpg http://autometer.com/img/products/2355_d.jpg You could always ask Leatherface. Here's his: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1...4/NewImage.jpg http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1...tachment-1.jpg (from this thread: http://clubroadster.net/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=16543) |
Well, I have a 52mm omori and I don't see how its going to fit in there. About to abort and stick it in a vent.

Be a fucking innovator, and not just a blind follower. At least try to make it work.
