i'm in love with a.. Porsche

The thing that drove me crazy about Porsche was the left handed key. Seems really weird. Is it for racing? After a spin putting it into 1st with your right hand and starting with your left? I heard that S2000's button was made for that.
I have heard some pretty nice sounding flat 6's before. One 911 I heard made sure to tell me it was fast.

My dream car is the Cayman. Mid engine AND a Porsche; that just has to be the best of 2 worlds. And they are pretty.
Btw, I drove one of the company cars (-08 Audi A6 Turbo Diesel) to Italy last week. Early morning, flat out on the Autobahn I was keeping good speed. While passing a semi, a car flashes me from ~200m behind, even though I was doing a happy 230km/h. Btw, flashing somebody far in advance is not a rude thing in Germany. Tail gating at +200km/h is. I moved back into the right lane, of course, and immediately soiled myself as 2 911 Turbos blasted by with screaming boxers. I wonder what my fiancée, my sister and one of my kidneys are worth on the black market…

Considering the chassis, Boxter good, Cayman bad.
I have a problem with a sloped-back hardtop when I'm driving a mid-engined car. I haven't had anyone tell (show) me how you can access the engine w/o putting the car on a lift and dropping the drive line.
Dead sexy is one thing, maintainability is another...

Dear God! A 2.4L V8 producing >500HP, in an Atom. I cannot wait to hear the sound of that thing!
edit: I just went to the Brammo page, and the Atom is no longer there. Ariel now says that TMI is the US manufacturer. When the heck did this happen?

Granted, an Atom probably would not make a good primary car except in those areas of the southwest and southern pacific where rain and extreme coldness are not major considerations, much the same criteria for judging one's motorcycle to be good primary transportation. But even if I lived in Minnesota and could only drive it 2 months out of the year, they'd be the best damn 2 months imaginable.
