But occasionally we get some downtime. We're on our way to Central America, but some damned typhoon decided to park itself directly between Cuba and the Yucutan... so the only way for a military aircraft to get there is to fly around the east side between Cuba and Haiti... and somebody very smart in "intelligent design" decided to put another nice little island south of Cuba that we coincidentally ran out of gas near and had to stop.

Did I mention lately that I love my job? I will be spreading international good will and helping the economy of a friendly nation down by the pool for the next few hours if anybody needs me.

 

Lucky dog. Nice place for a rest stop, so I'm told.
