At least now we know you're kinda sorta a human being and not some dipsh!t spambot trying to buy/sell with blatant disregard for the community.

Those FD's are gorgeous btw

Granted I retrofitted my subaru last month with the minis and while it's absolutely no comparison to stock and the lighting is quite good, I wish they were wider and threw further. They're also cheaper though which is a plus.
This retro will be on a 1996 Grand Cherokee so it's got plenty of room for the FX projectors, the case surface where the lens mounts is flat, and the lens for the most part is flat. Seriously planning on picking up a set from the salvage yard ($16 each) and bake-n-peel the lens off and see precisely what I've got to work with. Going to order some 12x12 squares of 1/4" polycarbonate, measure and cut to proper size and shape then rough bevel the edges with a variable speed router. Might need to heat the lens slightly for any curve I encounter, once they're both fitted I'll polish the edges of the lens up and start fabrication of the projector mount.

That link shows the exact thing I'm going to do, but hopefully mine will look a little better using thicker poly with beveled edges, cause frankly his lens looks like ----. The rest of his fab is pretty legit, though. Fingers crossed.

My miata is an NA and I've had thoughts on how to retro some projectors but nothing has really come to paper or cad yet which would be within my abilities of machine and fab. In the perfect world if I could just throw something on paper and it'd appear, it would just be a bucket recessed into the body in place of our current barn doors as most frushmount light setups have been, but my twist would be the lens covering it. Ever seen the windows you can tint 100% black or make completely transparent by applying or removing a small amount of current? That would be awesome.

IDK they look like they're made for a flood light on the side of your home. But if its utilitarian only why not. What I did on my subaru was sand the fluting on the plastic where the light shines through and polish it clear, the rest I didnt care about. BTW he's using mini h1 projectors there. Also his moisture issue isnt due to not sealing well enough its sealed too well. He doesnt have vents so hes got moisture buildup in the housings... gotta have them vents

What kit are you saving for? I just did a retrofit on my 97 outback (parts hauler) and if you've got the same body style I can give you a few pointers... it was a tricky install but doable. Belt sander and a ton of patience is required haha.
I'm saving for this kit: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=227
At least, I think it's that kit... I'll have to look again. One of their kits is nearly drop-in for the '05-'09 outbacks like mine, once you get the headlights apart. It already has projectors, but they suck for HIDs.

I have been very happy with their bulb/balast kit in my miata. The miata's projectors do MUCH better with HIDs than the outback's.

Yeah my partner for SBG has an 08 outback and tried a set of drop in HID's and very much regretted it. He's in the process of retrofitting his subaru and said he found a basically drop in replacement for the stock projector, I'll ask what he ended up with.
