I've never understood how people can jump so far.

as a former wrestling that made me LOL. I actually saw a wrestler with only one leg. He was pretty funny. I remember him claiming that nobody has ever got a double on him.

Huh.

I remember reading an account somewhere of some sort of race (the kind where people in silly-looking shorts run really fast; I know jack **** about this track & field stuff), and one of the losers was commenting that the guy who was a DOUBLE AMPUTEE had an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE in the race, because his prosthetics allowed him to run more efficiently than the rest of them and also increased the length of his stride. Some kinda fancy carbon-fiber things that looked like a leaf spring bent into the shape of a cheeta's leg.

EDIT: exactly like this:

oscar pistorius. the first amputee to run as an "able body" in the regular olympics. made it to the semi finals in the 400m, but got annihilated in the semis.
